Wow, this looks incredible, I absolutely love it. Thanks you so much for your work! :) I think that you've used a very pleasing wood texture. I could imagine this was not an easy task. Did you do the textures yourself?
The pinnacle would be a replaced menu open sound (instead of the stone sraping, you know), but I don't mind it all to much.
Thank you for your kind comment. I'm glad you like it. :) Most textures are made from stock images, but heavily edited. I was learning with Photoshop back then and would do a lot of things differently now. Rather than complete redesign, I'll just probably make a second mod.
Changing menu sound would definitely be an improvement. I'm returning to modding this year, so I may come back later and update this mod with new stuff.
For some reason my 7-zip file manager refuses to recognise this rar file (others are fine) and I cannot extract anywhere. Please could you add a zip or 7z version to download? Need this mod as I cannot stand the vanilla version. Cheers!
Looks good! It does remind me of some wooden emblems in a late medieval village church, how they were framed.
I don't know about your screen, but at my calibrated screen the saturation seems a little overboard, it doesn't fit to the rest of the game so well. Also the strong shadow makes it harder to see the equipped items and the titles. Here is a picture from opening the inventory, you can see the difference in saturation and contrast: https://i.imgur.com/EKXZScQ.jpg It would be nice if the wood was more close to the wood on the miller's house. A little less saturation, a little less shadow at the edges and the now missing paper texture on the other tabs would make it perfect :)
I endorse the new paper texture, by the way, it's much more pleasant to the eye!
Thanks! I could agree that saturation is little overboard on your screen. As for me, when I was creating this mod I had slightly customized settings through console commands which darkened whole out-of-inventory picture, so that was the saturation-brightness I was looking to. I think many people have similar opinion as you 'cause it does make sense, so I could probably make brighter version of Standard Brown in the future. I'm all occupied for this month, but maybe next month I could return with the next version and with more shade options. :)
Then I have no idea why It's not working for you, it works for others. Are you using latest Kingdom Come Steam version (1.6)? Problems may occur if you're using outdated game version.
I figured it out go to data find file pak,cfg open it with notepad you have to manually type the mods location that you installed at the bottom, these are my mods right know they worked
data\zzz_STAR_HUD.pak Mods\NoFallDamage\Data\NoFallDamage.pak Mods\RealisticBowDraw\Data\RealisticBowDraw.pak Mods\Blood and Iron Perk System Stand Qlone v 1.4\Data\Blood and Iron Perk System Stand Qlone v 1.4.pak Mods\Blade Master Sword Redux 1.0\Data\zzz_Blade_Master_Sword_Redux_1.0.pak Mods\WaP_inventory_replacer\Data\Wap_SB.pak
note that this method worked on ver 1.6 of the game
God, why it has to be so complicated... Strangely, I have no idea why it worked for me without editing pak.cfg. Anyway, I'll write this to install guide. Thanks for help.
For the lazy ones, like me, i made a batch script that prints your mods names to copy and paste in the pak.cfg. Just put it in your main kcd directory after you have properly put all your mods in the directories they should be and double click it, it takes a while tho(10 secs more and less) and lists all mods in mod folder and all mods starting with zzz in the main data folder, with the relative path of course. I hope you find it useful. Here is it: https://pastebin.com/yV4Di74U (Download it and change the .txt to .bat).
Edit: Is there a way i can highlight the pastebin link?
@elkasei don't complicate things, just update your "manifest" file with this simple code: <kcd_mod> <info> <name>WaP - Standard Brown</name> <description>Wood and Paper - Inventory Menu Replacer</description> <author>elkasei</author> <version>1.0</version> <created_on>2018-06-29</created_on> </info> </kcd_mod>
And everybody should be happy without altering or modding other files...!!!
BLESS YOUR SOUL. This is exactly what I needed. The inventory was blinding me and I had to stop playing because I got a headache! Thank you so much for this.

Update: Works with 1.6.2. I can't confirm the dlc.
