Hello guys! for everyone that has problems with this mod, like the Compass is still the same or Yellow or something. Go to your KCD Folder, go to your Mods folder, than "create" a new folder called "Transparent Compass ". In the Transparent Compass folder create another new folder called "Data" In this Data Folder you place the zzz_transparent_compass.pak and your are done. Sorry for my bad english but i hope it works i tested it on 1.9.6

I wanted to change the reticule to be even smaller than what's included in the "Unintructive Reticle" file.

    I extract the .pak
    go to the Hud_main.dds
    open in Paint.net
    Make the reticle smaller
Save and boot up the game
... reticle and compass are both at game defaults and mod is inactive

    what am I doing wrong?

In hardcore mode the compass doesn't completely disappear, there is still a translucent grey bar.

Edit: nevermind, I've realized it's supposed to be there.

For me this is the best compass I even don't need to go to the map tab at all.Good job and thank you. I really hate the default big one.

Guys, I am playing on Hardcore
HOWEVER I am so desperate to find any solution for showing "combat reticle", you know, the one that has 5 directions for slashing and dot in the middle.
It is so stupid to not have that, even in Hardcore mode...
Can someone help me with a hint on how I can have that? Thank you!

I have a translucent yellow bar over my compass with this mod. I'm playing on hardcore mode.

Disregard the above report. Apparently I was just not understanding that I was in a "search area" or whatever. I was within range of an objective. Your mod adds that yellow to the otherwise very low-key compass. It was a little jarring at first. I thought it was some sort of a glitch. That is really the only thing I would change about the mod. Perhaps make it less noticeable.

Also, I'd like to have transparent buff/debuff icons. Can anybody recommend a good, compatible mod? As you can see in the same picture link above, my "burgher" icon is on screen very often and is also very noticeable.

Hello, Your mode (merged with unintrusive reticle, thanks to both of you) is working great !

But in some occasions, the compass bar became yellow (the whole old compass area is filled with translucent yellow), wich somehow impair the lisibility, and the intended purpose. It may be a bug coming from a reshade parameter, since I don't use any other HUD mod, but if you want to investigate, It will be very useful...

I use the realistic lighting reshade by Pxel (https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/42), and some user.cfg tweak, like LOD increase, avoid texture popping and so on... nothing too fancy IMO... :p

Yes that's a bug of reshade this is just a simple texture (basically an image) it's not possible for it to cause something like that.

I made a complaint about this as well before i realized it is an indicator that appears when you are in a searchable area.
