    Hi,

    Just now found that mod. (Now, I use OGP which also enable to increase FOV)
    Of I delete my profile and start the game, my FOV sets to 65.

    I used to change it 75, now tried higher 85.

    But, just now read about that KCD use V-FOV. I played Skyrim, Fallout 4, etc... mostly FOV 85. But i I am not mistaken they use horizontal fov, instead of vertcial fov.

    After all of these, it looks to me at KCD 75 yet a high FOV, not put it even higher. (?!)

    95...............= 64
    100.............= 68
    105.............= 73
    121.............= 90

    H-FOV above than 85-90 100% cause fisheye effects. I am sure of it.
    So, V-FOV 75 still looks very high H-FOV. (above 100 ?) :o :O

    KCD with 85 FOV mean aprrox. 117 degree H-FOV. Jesus!

    I found that values "strange and interesting".

    I use 1920x1080 res. by 24".
    Could you suggets me (recommend me) a suitable FOV for KCD?

    I know it's personal, and a matter of taste, but I am sure you tried other settings, even hihgher... Didn't you got fisheye effet? Or any disturbing visual effect? It's strange...

    I felt 65 small. But now, I am not sure, wheter a goog idea to increase V-FOV even higher?
    When I used 75 (when I could out it higher) I didn't find it strange, and that's strange. :) Because it means If I choosed a way to high H-FOV.

    Thanks!

      judging by your monitor and resolution i would look between 50-60 to be honest

      I use a 34" 3440 x 1440 currently i am using the 80, but like you said its more of a personal taste thing, while too much would make me feel dizzy after a while.

      Thanks! I guess I strated to think about these right, just now.
      You know, when you 1st start the game without profile (or if you had one, delete it) the game engine I think sets your graphical preset by automatic based on what kind of hardware found under initializing the game.

      That was 65 for the 1st time.

      And I started to see people comments about motion sickness with low FOV, and now I don't understand why lot's of people want raise FOV higher, even 100 degree. 34" with 1440p I see, that's really an ultrawide monitor. And If I am not mistaken it wasn't higher than 75 by default because of V-FOV, and lot's of people just don't know difference between H-FOV and V-FOV. They used to play higher FOV. As I said for instance Skyrim, Fallout, but most game use H-FOV, and I guess people just put higher FOV, because they used 80-85 FOV before. Not 60 or 65.

      So, the game by default don't let use higher FOV, because maybe would be enough for you, but in the meantime you got to used use 80.

      But I am sure, just no sense use very high V-FOV. I just can't beleive people don't get fisheye effect, which is more disturbing than so called "motion sickness".

      Yes, good to know that KCD use V-FOV.

      Thanks for your reply and recommendation. After that description at your sticky post now I think different use FOV with KCD than before.

      PS: Now, I am sure that was behind Developers didn't and don't support higher FOV than 75. Which is mostly even with your monitor, as well.

    For those that don't know, KCD uses vertical FOV, not horizontal like most FPS games that typically range from 75 to 90 H-FOV by default (or 47 to 59 vertical FOV in KCD).

    Some popular FOV settings based on a 16:9 monitor...

    FOV................FOV
    Horizontal = KCD (Vertical)
    85...............= 55
    90...............= 59
    95...............= 64
    100.............= 68
    105.............= 73
    121.............= 90

    Here is a handy FOV calculator to convert to the traditional horizontal FOV...

      hmm might make sense to include these in the code. but i see a problem with marking them 16:9 and 21:9.

      i was thinking of switching the FOV field into a fader model to adjust from a value 50 to 120 or something like that but the tooltip caused me some pain, plus i don't know all the internal variables of the code. Would cost me some time to reverse engineer, otherwise i would just rewrite the whole options menu. I'm waiting.

      Do you find the amount of options i integrated helpful?

      Yes I think this mod is a great idea! I'm currently happy with the default 60 FOV-vertical since that's what I use for pretty much any FPS (90 FOV-horizontal). Anything beyond that starts to give the fish eye lens affect, at least to me.

    On 1.3, this mod removes ''vsync'' option in games settings!...:(

    "I'm currently thinking if it might make sense to completely overhaul the settings and add new functionality like VSYNC, Intro, Cursor (Game), Cursor (Bow) on and off switch, a regulator for sharpening, HDR Grain and Chromatic Aberration and some CPU tweaks."

    Yes especially the cursor option would be much apreciated, but WHS could implement such things too.

      Yeah but i doubt they will implement something new and fancy. They'd be hunting bugs by now

      I put this project on ice for now, i played that game 150 hours, i simply need a break of it. 150 hours seems a lot but i've spend a lot of time modding and tweaking and fighting against bugs in between.

      I will wait now 1 or 2 patches and see how much they fixed, it is a pretty and decent game and i already miss it.

    Nice work!
    You could also add an option for SSDO, the Cry Engine command is "r_SSDO 1"

      if you open the console not having edited the r_SSDO it might show you r_SSDO is already 1 by default.

    Does this interfere with anything? I am only asking because I just had to merge about half of my mods in order to get them to work properly.
