Thank you all for helping develop this tool! If you have issues using the program, please describe exactly what doesn't work (e.g. certain mod doesn't merge correctly, merges didn't load, didn't detect conflict, etc.).

it will make changes without telling you what it actually does so you go ingame and graphics look broken, it makes zero backups so everything is permanant until you reinstall
an easy way to tell is look at smoke coming from fireplaces/fires. if its blocky looking your game is now corrupted
im pretty sure it starts putting ZZZ in front of all your pak files and splits them all into multiple parts - in order to fix you will have to completley delete all pak files and verify integrity in steam
So I installed this before reading the warnings in this chat (sadly) I uninstalled my game entirely and tried to purge KCD mod merger from my pc. I redownloaded the game and the stupid mod merger is still putting logs on the game when its not located on my pc anymore (I can't find anything else with KCD in it) How does it keep re-applying itself to the game after a fresh install?
i installed this mod merger and it did detect 13 out of my 30 active mods, then read the comments and immediately deleted it. for me it didnt break my game or the graphics but im kinda scared. i deactivated the mods and entered the game. the only problem i could see is alittle delay on the sound. but i use a relay so it could be just a little bug. I did not had HD textures before. what can i c hek to see if it broke anything? thx in advance
I use Joew's KDC Mod Manager instead, its million times better. now i can have 30 mods at the same time. i detected the mods that did not work (exact money display, halberts, poleram perfect block , roads are dangerous) these mods conflict with other 5 or 6 that i use.

Does anyone know where does this tool store its own settings (path to game folder, any checked options from menu?). Perhaps we'll be able to redirect the tool to the correct folder by editing something?
As for this tool renaming core game files from later patches: y'all should check "/references/exclusions.xml" file from this tool directory and add paths to any later game files to this list to exclude them from conflict resolution procedure.
Idk wtf this thing is suppose to do but it's not doing anything I need it to. I have tons of mods wanting to modify the rpg table but for whatever reason this mod doesn't know that and won't do the merge for me. I thought that was point of a diff program.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD !!!!! Since it can break your game. Last update was 4 years ago. Its heavily outdated.
As others have mentioned, this tool is severly outdated!!!
Do not use, as it will BREAK YOUR GAME! (it will - if you say "yes" - automatically rename original game files - not mods!)
