About this mod

This mod changes many Items in the game to contribute to more balanced combat, smoothed difficulty progression and more versatile economy. While also fixing illogical or immersion-breaking items.

Permissions and credits
Many of the Items in KCD are either too expensive (meat), too light (high tier armor), too strong (high tier weapons), too weak (Bandit- / Cuman-Weapons), to abundant (Herbs) or simply useless (Queen Sheba's Sword). This in its entirety is one of the biggest reasons, why the game feels poorly balanced and lets our poor little son of a blacksmith become an all powerful aristocrat in no time. 
This mod changes that by completely reworking most of the items in the game. 
Although we cannot change loot-tables as of now we can address the most glaring problems; leading to a more challenging but most importantly more immersive experience. The implemented changes are derived from careful calculation and the use of comparative equations. So that the parameters of all the items I have adjusted not only improve the gameplay but also make a lot more sense within the gameworld, while keeping the order intended by Warhorse intact.


Changes made in v1.0
1. balanced Armor-weight according to price and defence-rating for all armor
      the most expensive armors in the game now provide the best defense-to-weight-ratio without becoming OP
2. balanced Weapon-dmges for ALL lootable melee-weapons against max-armor
      all weapons are now closer to a dmg of 45 (max-armor)
      weak weapons are stronger while the highest tier of weapons is no longer massively OP
      order of weapons according to their value and each other remains unchanged
4. Reduced price and increased weight of meat
5. adjusted prices for all Herbs
6. 'Leather / Hunter's gloves' no longer heavy armor
7. 'Queen of Sheba's sword' no longer useless and properly adjusted
8. increased reach for Longswords

Changes to come in v1.1
9. adjusted weapon-dmg for Bows
10. further work on diversifying armortypes while keeping the proper balance of v1.0 intact

Installation:
1. Download the file.
2. Go to your Data folder (default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Data)
3. Extract the contents of the zip file into your Data folder

Troubleshooting:
You do not need to start a New Game to be able to use every feature.
If your game fails to load the modded files this can have mainly two reasons:
   1. You use other Mods that change the same .xml files (see the full list below)
      => you have to delete the .pak file of the other mod
   2. The game doesn't update it's library
      => Create a new game. Skip all the intros and finish the first dialog with Henry's mom. 
         After that you can delete this savegame as you see fit and go back to playing your main savegame with the adjusted values.
