I'm having a bit of difficulty. I'm trying to merge mods but it just keeps saying it can't load files such as the level.pak, english.pak, french.pak etc. I've directed it to my game folder so I don't get it.
Does the job, I think :) It gives some error about not finding a file in the data folder but merges together the mods in PikeMod folder and upon loading a game I havent found any that doesnt work yet. Thanks!
This is really promising but seems to need a lot of work still, Its been very buggy for me!
- Still showing mods that I've deleted manually. It wont let me delete them from the interface, only un-check them. - Ive tried to create a merged mod multiple times, it just makes an empty folder - When trying to make the merged .pak file. It adds it to the modlist order but doesnt actually create the .pak file.
The short tutorial also leaves more questions than answers. I was hopeful for this one.
This seems super useful, but I could use a tutorial, im not the brighten cookie in the knife drawer. Mainly I'm trying to merge More perks, and Perkaholic together
I hate that MS still did not fixed that references issue :/ Anyway lets try to do sth with this :) Can you check 0.5.0.55 file version and tell if it works for you? :o
and if that still would not work then try install .NET 4.7.1... (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56116) probably installing 4.7.1 would be enough :|
Great MS, really great... Sadly only solution is to provide all dlls which may or may not be needed :/ Please try Pike 0.5.0.81 ;d And if you still would have problems with it then please unpack (and change its name afterwards) "assemblies.bin" (it is just zip file) into same folder as pike.exe is and try again...
I'm lost on how to actually use this. Do the pak files for mods go in the Mods folder? Do they need to be extracted and then the loose files placed in the Data.Localization, Engine folder?
Mods as .zip files are currently not supported... but when they do you should put them into "mod" directory. loose PAK files in most cases should go to DATA folder or rarely Localization.... Engine is now mostly just for... idk future?...
And yeah... I recognize issues with usability of this so I will make it more user friendly for sure ^.^
Unlike the "Ghetto Mod Loader" this one actually runs, and seems to work, right up until I hit "merge" and then I just get an exception log that doesn't make sense to me!
it seems you have some pak file in game folder which PIKE cannot read. If you could list me files/mods which you have there then I will try to do dig to solution...
