I've released a version with other popular mods that effect the same file. All done with permission from the creators. Total Mod rpg_param: https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/271
Basically, the game sets MIN and MAX values for each skill and stat. Reaching the cap will get you to the MAX value, regardless of how many ranks it takes to get there. This mod doesn't raise the MAX values, only the amount of ranks and XP required to reach the cap.
So from going from a cap of 20 to 30, you're making the leveling up process slower, but getting more perks. And with more mods coming out that add more and more perks, you may need the 40. But remember, the 40 will take a lot more game play to reach, and your end result per stat/skill power and effectiveness will be the same as the vanilla 20.
So the 99 is more of a hard core setting, with it taking 5 times (plus what ever bell curve) to reach stat/skill cap.
Thanks for the mod! I only had one conflict (max carry weight increase to 240) so it was easy to edit your existing pak file and change it.
I think you should clarify the 'level-up mod' in the description since it's a bit confusing. I initially thought it was raising the MAX cap, but it seems it slows how quickly you actually level up? Is that for all skills too or just the main level? Maybe add more info on the 'stay clean mod' as well. How many minutes approximately for medium vs default?
Is it possible to increase max values for stats/skills? I cant find how. Is that hard coded? Or is it in some xml file? Its bloody annoying... If I set my caps to, say 60, NPC stat/skill values become rather low because of how the game handles their effectiveness-per-level. So a guard with level 15 agility and 60 stat cap will have only 25% stat effectiveness, compared to 75% with 15 agility and 20 stat cap. They made it VERY annoying to try and mod these values. I understand realism, but if you allow to mod a game, expect people to make some unrealistic changes. God damn.
So every Lvl increase cap mod just stretch perks for me(so instead of giving every 5 lvl for herbs i get every 8 and so on), what may be wrong ? I didnt use any others mod contain rpg_param.
Would it be possible to add the ultimate weight mod too in this pack? Since all use the same file, I have to decide between your mod or the unlimited weight mod. :(
You must have a conflicting mod that uses the same file. This alters rpg_param.xml which is a pretty powerful file, and many mods use it. The easiest way to find out what mods use what files, it to open up the .pak file with 7-Zip, and follow the folder chain to the .xml file.
For instance, inside my mod .pak files, you'll find folders Libs > Tables > rpg > rpg_param.xml
If you want to merge them manually, you'll need Notepad++ to edit those .xml files, to make sure it keeps the right format for the coding. Or you can try out this mod merger: https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/178
Can you tell me what Numbers to add so Henry's cloth won't get dirty too quick? Like Normaly it takes around 1minute for me to get back dirty in Vanilla. I would like to stay clean for maybe 30mins. I have your old single Mod Stay Clean. The numbers are high I guess, since they are lower in this Mod here. :)
