ViewDistRatioVegetation testing: 10 20 30 40 70 all in all, not much change in fps, maybe 1 or 2. I guess time of day or different locations might affect it. In my short testing it was only a 1fps different, running around a forest in the southwest

And it's hard to add comparison image of vertical sync. It should suffice to explain what command does. e_ViewDistRatioVegetation has value of 50 in system.cfg, was decreased to 30. Check if it will make a difference for you. Removes distant vegetation. Higher value, more vegetation is visible.
btw, volumetric fog should be off by default.. shouldn't it?
