the no tackle only mod works fine in 2025, with it, gang combat is actually fun and enjoyable now! enemies can no longer force pull you from miles away nor would you be spined around endlessly by them anymore, you can actually do a 1v4 realistically now! @elgooG32167 thank you so very much, you saved my game, i can't thank you enough, may fortune be with you always.
and if you want to use -devmode as well as +exec user.cfg, all you need to do is put a space between them like this: -devmode +exec user.cfg
You still haven't answered my question. As it stands, this mod disables tackling for EVERYONE i.e the player as well. This means you can no longer stop NPCs that are running away from you. Is there a way to re-enable Henry's ability to tackle, while still disabling it for enemies?
I've looked through these comments to try and find the correct installation instructions but can't find anything. I'm running into the same issues as other people such as the enemies trying their damnedest to get inside me, and I'm still getting attacked by them. Could you possibly give us a step-by-step installation guide? I did follow the instructions on the main page, and am launching in -devmode, just I still have issues. could it be that I'm trying to use multiple mods in the mods folder?
Hello. Usually the problem is in -devmode: people either launch it wrong or use some tools like vortex etc, that could have its own command line parameters. So my first guess is - try to launch directly from Steam/EGS (not from vortex etc). If you are 100% positive that -devmode is lauched that means some files (most probably autoexec) placed in wrong folder.
the issue was my spelling of devmode lol, were all good now, thnks for yoru response. now the next question is, it seems to prevent mutt from doing anything now, do you happen to know if there is a line of code that i should add/remove to allow mutt to do things?
Mutt uses the same weapon type (unarmed) as bare-handed human npcs, so you can just revert changes for this weapon type. This should "theoretically" work, and some guy in this comment section even tested it. Just open .pak file in 7-zip, find "weapon_class" file and in the section for unarmed type (its in the very bottom) change hunt_attack_distance="-1" to hunt_attack_distance="1".
autoexec file is placed by default in the folder which is downloaded. Should this file be in the root folder of the game? current path for me is: X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Just no tackles and only duels v1.1-1444-1-1-1674643020
Awesome mod. Would of choose the skyrim-like version if it didn't cause issues with the training quests, but happy to have the duel only version, makes dealing with groups far less insane. One thing though, inregards to the Optional changes, I don't suppose we could get that broken up into mini mods so we can pick and choose the changes we want? Could still be in one download file but being able to pick and choose would be great instead of an all or nothing thing, there are some changes I want and some I do not.
Hi there. Both KCD1 and KCD2 are modified with .xml files that are inside each mod archive. You can open any archive (e.g. with 7z, WinRar, etc.) and change/delete any .xml in the way you need.
No tackles. Easy combat. Only duels works perfectly (tho i can still tackle enemies which is great because im here for the only duel part) but i don't like the easy combat it makes enemies attack with one swing once every 5 seconds which makes combat so dull and boring is there a chance to make a just one on one duel version or tell us how to remove the easy combat cause i really like this mod it makes combat so much better with not having to deal with all enemies at once just like in KCD 2 i tried the no tackle only duel option but it has some problems first mutt can't attack anything for some reason and i don't like the no tackle part it makes chasing enemies tedious cause i can't tackle them
If you want to fix Mutt - there is a guide in the comments on how to do it. If you only need "onlyduels" - just put autoexec.cfg from mod archive into main game folder. Ironically even in the KCD2 I'm still not a fan of the dog, because it only barks, howls and annoys me.
Версия без тактов - враги начинают постоянно бегать вокруг Генри, как идиоты, есть ли способ это исправить? ок, -devmode исправьте это, но есть ли способ решить проблему с Маттом? он потерял способность только охотиться или что-то еще? с отключением "захватов" стало возможным получать хоть какое-то удовольствие от боевой системы с несколькими врагами, спасибо автору за это. Удивительно, что на релизе враги в игре вели себя гораздо адекватнее - не пытались постоянно бегать внутри игрока и т. д. Я был очень удивлен, когда решил перепройти игру с последними патчами, я обнаружил все эти проблемы, если бы это было на релизе, я бы сразу удалил игру и не проходил ее. Стоит отдать должное разработчикам за то, что за годы поддержки игры они умудрились наконец-то сломать то, что хоть как-то работало. И жаль, что при попытке исправить одни проблемы, в игре неизбежно приветствуются другие.
Если враги бегают кругами - 100% не включён devmode. Чтобы Mutt смог хватать дичь - надо вернуть дефолтное значение для Unarmed видов оружия, в комментах есть описание как это сделать.
Thanks, I'll scroll through and have a look, without this mod I wanted to drop the game. I'd like to find another mod that would change the way master strike is activated, so that it would be similar to what is in the second part, but without strong global changes to the entire combat system. Make it so that its activation could only occur by attacking the opponent's "mirror" zone. Thus removing the influence of RNG in the game.
