    So how do I install this? Because most mods contain a folder within that we drop into the mods folder, but this only contains a Data folder.... Do we drop the zipped file into the mods folder?

      Using 7zip it has 2, mod.manifest (text file), & Data folder (which contains another zip).
      Recommend using KCDTweak's - Royal Edition at Kingdom Come: Deliverance Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)
      He has 3 videos showing how to install>use.
      NOTE: Ensure Mods folder has Read Only unchecked, incl sub folders & files.

    for anyone playing in 2024, the lines to modify are  the following and there are MULTIPLE for EACH, every crime will have 4 entries somewhere:
    autoUnseenDistanceOnSkillZero (default 30) --how far away you can be spotted with zero skill
    autoUnseenDistanceOnSkillCap (default 2/5/10) --how far away you can be spotted with max skill

    civiliansAutoReactWithinDistance(should be set to zero to have 0 chance of AUTOmatic crime) --how far away anybody can be to auto-aggro you for breaking the law
    civiliansCanReactWithinDistance (default 8) --how far away there is a chance somebody can turn you in for breaking the law

    these numbers represent in probaby meters the distance you CAN or are AUTO CAUGHT , lower numbers mean less chance

      The file to edit is the crime.lua in the PAK file I assume?
      What does it mean if the value is -1? That doesn't appear to be default according to what you said
      What would be the max value for react distance?

      So, I just downloaded this and saw this post.
      Not understanding what the numbers should be.
      Looking at what you suggested, here is what the Crime.lua shows....
      (snip)
      CrimeUtils.crimeDetectionParams = {['lockpick'] = {additionalSkillName = 'lockpicking', additionalSkillWeight = 1,autoUnseenDistanceOnSkillZero = 15,autoUnseenDistanceOnSkillCap = 5},['loot'] = {autoUnseenDistanceOnSkillZero = 15,autoUnseenDistanceOnSkillCap = 5},['pickpocket'] = {additionalSkillName = 'pickpocketing',additionalSkillWeight = 3,autoUnseenDistanceOnSkillZero = 20,autoUnseenDistanceOnSkillCap = 1

      (snip)
      values.civiliansAutoReactWithinDistance = values.civiliansAutoReactWithinDistance or -1values.civiliansCanReactWithinDistance = values.civiliansCanReactWithinDistance or -1

      Are these numbers correct?
      And if not, what should they be?

    No Dogs, causes an issue with the mission "The Prey". Because the hunting dog's don't spawn, Capon just walks off instead of riding out for the hunt. Just had to disable it for the mission, Otherwise great job.

      Confirmed. I had this issue as well. Had to disable this mod to get it to work as it should.

      You can use the version that doesn't remove dogs and it seems to work fine.

    Nice mod but a bit of a problem when stabbed with a longsword the attacker teleports and pushes all the way forward so I can't use him

      Have you determined this is an issue with this mod?

      I can confirm this mod causes parrying with a longsword to push you back ten or fifteen feet, which seemed to make ripostes completely impossible. Weirdly, when I deleted the three .pak files relating to dogs (but left the one relating to stealth), the problem went away. Tested with no other mods on a clean save, just to be sure.

    I have 3 questions about this mod:

    1. To install this mod, I just need to put the content of this mod into the Kingdom Come Deliverance\Mods folder, right?

    2. Does this mod affect AI detection on your Stealth, Pickpocketing and Lockpicking skills? Meaning, AI will detect you less when you stealth, pickpocket a person and lockpicking chests even though you have very low level on these 3 skills? Or is this mod only affect your Stealth, meaning AI will detect you less even when you have very low Stealth skill level?

    3. In terms of stealth detection, will AI detect you less even when you wear armor with high noise/visibility/conspicuousness?

      Honestly I don't know, I just found some lines inside the crime.lua about auto react and how many npc's can react, and some lockpick, pickpocket and other stealth actions values and changed them until I noticed a difference, but it could have been placebo.
      I do notice I get away with a lot more after I commit a crime, guards don't "Just Know" about crimes and my reputation doesn't go down the way it used to and the witnesses and NPC reactions to my crimes are not magically noticed anymore, but again it could be something else.
