I have KCD 1.9.6 version. My Henry had Sword combat at level 20 prior to installing the mod. By default the game allows 8 perk points in the Sword skill (3,5,8,10,13,15,18,20). I spent 5 points on Longsword and 3 points on Shortsword perks. As expected, the mod moved all longsword perks to the Longsword skill and shortsword perks to the Shortsword skill. Also expected, Henry's Longsword skill retained level 20 and his new Shortsword skill was level zero. Henry's Shortsword skill retained 3 of the perk points he earned from before the mod installed. I had not put a point in "Blunt Strike". After leveling Shortsword to 20, Henry gained 4 perk points. I gave one point to "Blunt Strike" and am left with 3 perk points that cannot be assigned to anything since all 4 Shortsword perks are already learned.
The only serious problem with the mod is that it deletes the "False Edge" perk from the Longsword skill. False Edge skill is a reward from training Combos with Captain Bernard. I had learned that skill before installing the mod and now it is gone. Bernard still offers combo training but without rewarding "False Edge" when the training completes. I may try Lethean Water potion as a last resort to see if that replaces False Edge to my Longsword skill. I would like False Edge restored. I gather this addon is intended for a fresh run of Henry before he begins serious combat training.
It seems this no longer works - I really liked having them separated.
It forced you to commit as you would to a completely separate weapon but better yet - I didn't lose out by being locked out of either shortsword or longsword due to lack of perk points.
I cant get perks on this skill and the perk_shortswordskill.xml has a line on each perk that says: ? <row autolearnable="True" exclude_in_game_mode="" and on perkaholic the perks have the autolearnable="False".
If I change the autolearnable variable it will allow to earn perk points?
I don't believe it will impact NPCs since to my knowledge they don't level their skills like the player does. NPCs are pre-assigned perks and skill levels that I didn't touch.
The only perks I touched were for the shortsword combos and Perkaholic does not touch them. I believe the only mods I've seen that could conflict are those that remove the level requirements and that is an easy fix I can make as an alternative download. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Thanks so much!

This mod allowed speccing both...
? <row autolearnable="True" exclude_in_game_mode=""
and on perkaholic the perks have the autolearnable="False".

If this doesn't overwrite the perk tables as a whole I'll add this on top as it was a bugbear that you have to forego one to focus on the other.
