The mod is pretty broken on gates above level 2 and I would even say level 2 as well, I would recommend not to download it and fix it maybe with more defensive crossbows (I had a raid from the united cities with enough troops to wipe me but they couldn't get through the gate I have) ‘last defensive level’ ‘3 crossbows per gates 2 gates’.
i basically love it, beacuse gates should withstands swords, this strength feels op tho could you make a version where it is like 5x vanilla, now it is like 15x edit: i made a nerfed version for myself with 5x vanilla values and 2x repair speed, does the job and feels like a challenge with tough enemies :)
what i would love to see is if you would need building mats to repair, now you can just have a bunch on repair and they'll never come through. thanks for the work take care
You could install the mod and then open the construction set making sure the mod is set to active, once open select "Changes" and it will list the changes the mod has made. You'll see the values it's changed, including the default value and the mods new value, so you'll know what to change for your own version.
Like many mods it's simply changing a few settings, basically as if editing a config file, you'll get the hang of it just messing around and testing what you do.
Would it be possible to fix the collisions on gate II/III? I upgraded my gate to the next tier but it's garbage as turrets can't even shoot enemies attacking the gate itself. Most arrows end up clipping into the gate foundation. I even set up my walls so they are slightly concaved, but the stupid gate has terrible collision meshes.
Have you tried to fix nav mesh? This may resolve odd hitboxes as well: Ctrl + Shift + F11 or Shift + F12, Click Fix stuff BUT Do not click save, then exit.

Thanks, but I think it has more to do with the actual object meshes. It's not so much of a problem on the lesser gates. But tier 3/4 is really bad.
I guess this follows in the tradition of tier 3 walls being straight-up worse than tier 2 lol. (I may have the tiers mixed up slightly as it's been a while)

We need this but for wallz. If you have a multi gate system like real Historical castles had , It buggs out of the Ai of attackers. Meaning, RIp your wallz.
Kinda op! Because you can easily stop raid by using 3-4 turret and not even the fancy one, but a welcome change since starving bandits can destroy your gate in like 20 seconds.
Good idea of mod, make the doors stronger. I can understand that a bandit with forcing a lock opens it, but an animal, those dinosaurs, break the door and enter. Very rare. Thanks.
