I do not agree at all, my 50 warriors with quality armor and weapons and at least 40 points of attack and defense skill to mele lost against about 60 or 70 hungry bandits, for some reason they did 17-20 damage with their Sabers and Polearms, the hungry bandits scored 8 -17 points with their truncheons after subtracting those protecting the armor.
he speaks about ´´master´s´´(max level character's) ,not good ,or above average, there are a big difference, if what he says is true , i don't know myself. It should be, what if true ,is very unrealistic , no good ,no warrior can defeat 100 ,not even 8 ,only based in melee combat alone. Maybe with other help, like traps ,terrain ,more people or other ,but all alone ????Na.. forget, 6-8 together (even week) kill one good or master ,imagine 100 . Even 1 with luck and a dagger and unnoticed can kill 1 master lol , Unless you have machine guns lol.
I am guessing the problem on your side is the equipment. And most importantly the armor. Armor does almost nothing to stop blunt damage in kenshi. While it reduces the damage taken marginally, it dramatically slows down your soldiers, adds a damage output debuff on top. This mod does not change any damage mechanics, except one strike/one hit rule. If you are using heavy weapons in your squad that might also put you at a disadvantage against light blunt weapons. In addition, any slow weapons like polearms will have trouble succesfully striking an enemy while having interruptions over and over. In the end any kind of light weapon is better for prolonged fights, since your guys will get slower the more injuries they suffer.
Hmm, experts do more damage with a weapon than a noob does, the Sword may be just as sharp but not knowing where to hit, how to get through the opponents defence and the increased liklehood of ineffectual blows, all make a difference.
there is that, but in kenshi with high enough stats, your player character can take on hundreds of weak mf's and kill them all while taking no damage, which isn't realistic at all, I get where the modder is coming from.
I tested it personally, 100 dust bandits cannot touch a maxed character, they get completely wiped out while standing around doing nothing and attacking one at a time.
Yep, But skilled ones normally had better armor, also know the weakness of human body, Their training allowed them to defend themselves more effectively they can also target the "chinks & gaps" on the armor to defeat full armored enemies, while unskilled soliders normally use brutal force that means they can not hurt full armored target at all. Back in dark age a small group of full armored Knights could easily defeat 10 times 100 times peasants. Ah...let us not forget the 300 Spartans who in history books fought against two millions of Persian soldiers (But modern historians said persians were more likely between 100,000-300,000 cough cough. If that number is in Kenshi world, a player character need to defeat at least 333 npc) don't know if history books can be doubted or not, but if being expert is nothing, then why should all the armies kept training? Anyway, i do agree with the idea that 8 attackers on one target and one time one hit. those are very realitic :-) Tired of Spartan game, need to try this mod. ^_^
