Great stuff, I'm smithing staves at the moment and I can only carry two at a time in my weapon 1 slot (which I think is just "my back") which is pretty stupid to my mind. I can carry literally 20 x 10 kg metal sticks four feet in length in various pockets and backpacks, and yet I can't carry three five foot poles. The inventory needs widening by one square in general, or the staves need shortening.
I really like the pack combat limits - now that's sensible immersion, and you can just drop them in combat anyway with no penalty. I think if I dl'ed the other version I wouldn't be able to resist equipping everyone with trader packs and their sweet sweet stacking, and just forgetting about inventory management for a while.
Anyway thanks for going to the time and effort of making and posting this, it's very much appreciated here.
Drop you backs during combat is not 100% safe, When i carried 3 bags stuffs back to Hub attacked by bandits, as a Crossbowman my MC dropped all 3 bags and kited them into Hub, they were attacked by trade Ninjas, didn't wasted time, I run back to the place but all 3 bags had disappeared, just a little while. If you have to drop, keep your bags in sight
Just my ocd-comment: Small backpacks are boosted to 225%, mediums to 183% and big ones to 167% of original capacity. For my own use I set the small backpack to 20x20 with 60% weight reduction because it just looks nicer that way (and in fallout you can carry hundreds of pounds of guns and stuff in your skintight bodysuit's pockets too).
Does this also apply to thief backpacks one can buy at the thief guild in the hub starting city? They're black and have some penalties removed, but mesh better with certain clothing, obviously.
There is really no need for thief backpack when this one has no penalties, but i agree that it should apply to them if it already doesn't or remove them from the game.
I'll check it today if i can find any thief backpack.
Its not just penalties that were unfair, it was also pretty dumb that you could close backpack put it in inventory or drop it on floor during the fight and have no penalties.
This is a really good mod, thank you for making this.
