Just wanna say thanks for the reshade. All the other ones just felt too much for my liking. This is just the right adjustment to make the game look prettier imo. Only issue I am having, and it might not even be the reshade, but I have to manually activate it each time I launch the game. So far all other regards I tried would automatically turn on.

Thank you so much for that ui fix, works flawlessly.

I have an issue with the preset however. Looks absolutely perfect outdoors, but when you go into a building and zoom in, the shadows/AO become a jittering mess when something is moving on screen or you move the camera. I've been messing with the settings but I can't get rid of the problem entirely.

Coudn't find the mod qUINT_of.fx on the effects qUINT as mentioned as required in the list. Was it a typo of qUINT_dof.fx or is found on another effect?

Having the same issue. I have the Github files in Kenshi/Shaders as the instructions say, but qUINT_of.fx does not appear as an option anywhere.

Edit: Found the issue. The files don't go in Kenshi/Shaders, but in Kenshi/reshade-shaders/Shaders.

Well, I'm able to get the UI detection to work, and I can report that it's doing a great job even with the Transparent UI mod. However, the SMAA makes the ground texture glitter like there are ants crawling around everywhere, so I turned that off, and the immediate overall effect of installing the preset is that now the game is too dark, even at high noon. I can see terrain just fine, but the characters are covered in shadows at every angle. It almost looks like there's a solar eclipse. That may be some erroneous interaction with one of my installed mods, so I'm not blaming that on the preset just yet. I'm only mentioning it here in case you have any suggestions for how to adjust it without killing the other effects of the preset. I rather like the ray tracing, but I fear that may very well be the culprit, so I thought it best to post about it here before I go fooling around with it myself.

Before posting this comment, I switched off the Shadiness mod to see if that was my problem, and it is not. I don't have a whole lot of lighting mods installed, but I'm pretty attached to the few that I do use, and one of them is the Lights Tweak mentioned in the description. Perhaps you can suggest a mod to brighten things up a bit instead? Once again, Kenshi suffers from the lack of a gamma control slider, I feel like that would fix things in this case.

EDIT: I should add, I keep the shadows cranked all the way up, and with this installed, they look better than ever. All the weird hashing around the edges is gone, the edges are crisp and look real for the first time that I've ever seen. E2: When I turn off Marty's Sharpen, it restores brightness, but it makes things way too bright, like they're washed out. I prefer the sharpening effect it provides to any other solution I've used, too, so I don't want to get rid of it. Playing with its settings seems to have no effect at all. Also, I am using the Native Stylize mod, but when I began this odyssey, I turned all of its features off so as not to interfere with testing. I have since turned on its Outlines, because I like them, as well as its Posterize and Colorful settings, because they do help with the lighting just a little bit.

I've tested it with different resolutions and UI mods. It works for me. Make sure you're using the ReShade version with add-on support, and NOT using UIDetect or UIMask shaders.
