You're certainly right, I honestly wasn't entirely clear on how much it was going to perform compared to the other food sources, I just took some numbers from the other types of farms and created the meat farm because I really needed the meat for my animals.
Since I knew it might be unbalanced, I attached the images of the entities I created in the FCS so that if anyone wanted to, they could modify it to their liking with minimal effort or knowledge.
As in my play style I don't focus much on how I get the food, I didn't want to worry about the unbalance, but as I said above, feel free to modify it, or send me a message if you couldn't do it after watching some tutorials on youtube, I'll be glad to help you.
If someone is interested in ballancing this. Putting a patch increasing the grow time by factor 10 will do it. This will result in 5 days until harvest, but will not mess with the odds based on larger crop count. Why factor 10? Because factor 5 will put it on par with farming but meat is a hunting source including tracking down and fighting the source. If you don't like it, put any other grow time you like. :-)

A meat farm L produces 112 Raw meat per day, which is 1680 nu (in vanilla).
In comparison, a wheat farm XL produces 109 wheatstraw per day, which is 327 nu in bread.
One meat farm L will replace 5 wheat farms XL. Why bothering farming anything else?
