DESCRIPTION:
Desert Reshade is my attempt at beautifying Kenshi using as little effects as possible. It aims to provide rich shadows, bright colorful daytimes, and dark gloomy nights. It comes with a mod that tweaks darkness values and colors of light sources to compliment the color changes done by Reshade.

HOW TO INSTALL:
- Download Desert Reshade.
- Extract ZIP file to "..\Steam\steamapps\common\Kenshi\mods".
- Open Desert Reshade folder.
- Open "copy contents to Kenshi64.exe location" folder.
- Copy contents to Kenshi64.exe location (..\Steam\steamapps\common\Kenshi).

Desert Reshade does not have ambient occlusion. This mod adds it using the game's engine, meaning no ambient occlusion bleeding through UI elements. - Desert UI
Update: Darker version has been made even darker to fix overly bright UI.
Pardon the shameless plug. Desert Reshade does not use a UI mask as intended, meaning effects will affect the UI. I've created a darker less saturated version of my UI mod to compliment this reshade. You can find it under the Desert UI Optional Downloads. - Reduced Particle Effects or Particles and foliage fix
Optional. Kenshi's particles are just horrible. The former will reduce particles and make the skies clearer in some parts of the map. The latter, does the same as the former but also reduces decorative foliage and rocks. Both improves performance.
Possibly hard to read text - This reshade uses SMAA to smoothen sharpening artifacts. Might cause some texts to have smooth edges and corners.(Fixed on latest version)- Parts of Grey desert might be too bright around noon.
- Colors might seem off - I'm colorblind, blame evolution.
- Crash during game startup. Rename dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll.
