After the events of 2005 in the near future (2018) the island got to the size of Alaska's smallest island (purty small) and then it got so small it became a island raft, after 6 months it eventually came across Isla Nublar, the burnt island now being joined to an evolved dinosaur island is perfect, any animals that survived the lava got a 2nd chance at survival (mainly herbivores) and the herbivore population boomed because 1. lack of predators 2. more food 3. the lava soil fertilized the soil making it grow much faster.
If you are wondering why Udandoceratops is here its just an evolved Sinoceratops (because of the lack of O2 and plants before Skull island crashed into Nublar)
