I always thought default raptors were basically naked losers. The color patterns being some weird fuzz on the arms/legs just seemed like such a lazy afterthought. Using Blue's base design feels so natural and FAR better, it really does bring so much to the game's vanilla experience. Using a blank pattern basically recreates the best of the original default's style anyway.
Honestly when I played I would always consider my raptors naked before finally getting to research more skins, then they'd always just be one of the movie skins. This brings WAY more variety and now NONE of the default raptors feel so lacking!
