This is a model made by Jack Mills and Digital Duck.
I've reached out to Jack, who was very kind and allowed me to post that  tree as an
optional download here. Please check the files section, it is now listed
      as an additional addon.

I've also made a tree bark texture modification to go along with it (see latest screenshot). The new bark
texture is available as part of the 1.2 mod version.

Getting heavy JPOG vibes from these ground textures. Love it!

New to modding this particular game, where do we place the new file to have the mod work?

Beautiful terrain textures and all but, you do know that grass only started to exist at the end of the Mesozoic, right?
Looks good for making JP-style parks though!

I know all there is to know about mesosoic grass ;)

The grass in the game is the vanilla model. I was hoping that it would prove to be planes based of a rectangular texture and I thought I could try replacing it with a fern texture. Unfortunately, not only did the model prove to be built around what seem to be tapered pyramids, but the actual model doesn't accept textures with alpha layers.

In short: If we want to replace vanilla grass or get rid of it, someone would need to edit the ingame grass model. That person isn't me. I just do textures.

So, without having the skills to remove the grass, I made the mod so that it can be used both on vanilla maps as well as to make paleo-exhibits. For paleo-exhibits, I suggest you try using a combination of my dirt and sand. My mod's "dirt" texture is actually a mix of dirt and moss, so you can fill large areas with it and it won't look like one big mudbox.
