hey hello, i just wanna ask something can i use this mod as a base of my own mod? there will be everything made by you, but the model will be mine dont ask why i thought of this, say YES or NO, cuz u are the owner of this mod :) also, you will get a shoutout on nexus if this mod works :) pls answer
Love this species so much! It looks great! You and keinekreativiteit make some of the best new dinosaur mods possible! Amazing work! Thank you so much!
I think it's the worst dinosaur of us xD Maybe its just, because this dinosaur was just hell, and it is still hell, but no problem of making the dinosaurs of NetRaptor new Species ^^"
Thanks, this one was an absolute nightmare to get working, this is why there weren't many uploads. We are trying to get the Anzu to work, it is not forgotten.
FIRST OF ALL I am Really Gratefull for an Eocarcharia mod Second ... the hump? Didn't had one or at least Highly unlikely (i know your going to revise it and thank you) I really love this dino and i know it's a bit much to ask and highly anormal from me but can the vivid skin be somehow reminding of the Dinosaur king one? Please? I usually goes for natural but even with it it just look so great and is also really great looking and still feel quite natural It's quite all for me i can't wait for the updates to come and really hoping for my request (actually first time i ask for a skin like that) but for real i can't wait to see what will happen to this mod ^^ great job and good luck for the upcoming work and bugfixing
I am really sure, that you cant change skins, that it looks like how you skin it. I think the skin Variants are fgm datas or something like that, and there is probably just a layer of color on it, which gets on the dinosaur. So you cant edit *one* skin. If you edit the default skin, you edit All of the skins. If im wrong, then sorry ^^" But that's my understanding of it right now
Wut... oh i don't really think so or even if it is then a skin variation with lateral stripes can be great you know there is in general multiple patterns and it was only a suggestion of mine that i'd really like to see not that NetRaptor will do it
the JWE has coded their skins, and therefore the rules modders have to follow, is that there are only two skin pattern varients, and then different colorings. so, if Netraptor were to edit the skins, it would affect either half or all of the skins.
Well, we can't really assume anything, since there is no material found besides some parts of the skull. So every reconstrunction with a hump is as valid as one without. It's all about artistic freedom at this point.
Well you're right that we can't definitively say without the fossil material, but there are quite a lot of inferences we can make that would influence the probability of it having a hump or not, so imo we can't really say that both are just as valid as eachother.
While both interpretations are valid as you say, looking at the niche, phylogeny, life history, etc in comparison to related dinosaurs it does seem unlikely that it would have had the hump. It's quite possible that it did, but with the little information we can glean it most likely either just had a slightly raised spine or nothing. Without knowing the precise function of concavenator's hump it's tricky to say just how likely, but scientifically we just have to work with the evidence we have, go with the more likely reconstruction, and be open to changing our idea of what it looked like when new evidence is found.
Of course it is up to artistic interpretation as you say, and this is a game so pinpoint accuracy doesn't matter. I don't mind that it was given a hump, because it is just artistic freedom and that's important. But scientifically you can't really say that they are equally valid if the indirect evidence makes the hump version less likely. It would be unfair to use indirect evidence (i.e. concavenator had one) to infer that it might have had a hump but then reject the larger amount of indirect evidence that doesn't support that.
Nice to see this species in the game, would have preferred it without the concavenator hump, it very likely didn't have one irl and as it's the very first medium sized carcharodontosaur besides concavenator (if I'm not forgetting any mods) it would have been unique without it, or if the hump was a bit more different than concavenator. Still looks good though and congrats on getting it up, I know what a pain it must have been to make so well done.
Thanks, I was so confused doing research on this animal, because of the hump. I am going to revisit it eventually, hopefully we will have better tools by then and do a version without the hump as a separate version. Getting this one to work was absolute hell, and we all hate our lives because of it. So glad it's done for now.
XD generalninja, dw they're the one that helped netraptor make it a new species. Using a content0 dinosaur like metri as a base for a new species is quite literally hell.
It's not just that. First I took Herrera anims which is... Working, but it's not good. Then Baryonyx, and still... The anims arent really good. But it works, that is gud. Then. There are plenty of Bugs, I Feel like, we made like 20 UI for it, AND. FilmContent is stupid, because the fossils UI icon is in Content0. So it has nö fossils icon. I had to Remake the amount of fossils really often, the demon tongue is still existing, and we cant fix it, without making a complete new model or deleting the whole face. This dinosaur destroyed my and Netraptors life xD
Crash:I want to load the Jurassic world era into the sandbox but throw out the game. I tried to do it in a new jurassic park era sandbox and it loaded. And my park is lost

So now that you removed the hump, expect new possible Eocarcharia material, that indicates a hump, to be found soon :D

Just goes to show you can differentiate one Dinosaur from another without going totally bonkers.

The hump stays imo.
