I gotta question? is it possible for me to select and choose which Raptor skin mod I want. For example if I want to replace the main variant of the JP raptors from 1 and 3 but keep The Lost World the same, is that possible?
Finally someone who noticed the difference on the 97 raptors! I recommend you to do some adjustments to the eyes of the 97 raptors. It feels like if they don't have pupils. That is the way I see it. Thank you for making this mod!!!!!!!
I don't suppose you could take a look at the feeding animation for all the Raptor forms? Their left leg spazzes out when they pull off their first chunk of meat. It's not the result of your mod, but it is annoying.
Looks so much better than the overly-toothy stock raptors. The changes to the JP3 skins are really nice too. Is there any chance you could make a version with a more prominent pubis like the 93/97 raptors in Lucca's JPEP?
Not sure if it's just my rig, but I think there might be a problem with the 93 raptor model. Whenever I try to load a save with the 93 or 97 raptors, the game CTDs (only with the 93/97 variants, though; it's working brilliantly, and looks amazing, with the 2001 variants!).
Other than that, wanted to say loving your work! I've installed every single one of your mods so far, and they're all really rather good. :D
Oh snap! What happens if you open a save file with no raptors and then incubate an 93/97 Raptor? Does the game still crashes? I have a couple Sandbox saves for test purposes and there the raptors are working fine. I started the RtJP campaign now and it also worked. Maybe something went wrong with the WinRar extraction? Open the WinRar file and go to the Velociraptor93 folder there and extract both ovl and ovs file here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jurassic World Evolution\Win64\ovldata\ContentPDLC6\Dinosaurs\Velociraptor93 If this problem still occurs, I will check this out.
Actually, changed my mind, and doing it as a new reply. :P
Right, I've got the following results:
Starting with no raptors then breed a new 93 variant = CTD as soon as I hit release
Redownloaded and re-extracted the mod, under a different filename, so there was no weirdness going on with it having the same filename = CTD
I also tried rolling the texture mod I made for the base game raptors, to the backup, just to see if that mod was causing some kind of conflict, and I still got a CTD on any parks with 93 or 97 variant raptors.
S'a weird one, this is. Let me know if I can check anything else, to help rule out other possible problems!
I tried the new download, and was getting the same problem, so I've done a bit of testing to isolate which part of the ovl is causing the problem. Basically, used cobra-tools to inject the individual assets one by one into the default ovl file, and see which one caused a CTD, if any.
So, for instance, when I injected "velociraptor93.mdl2", it worked fine.
The one file that caused a CTD after I injected it is "velociraptor93_skeleton.mdl2". I also tried injecting every OTHER asset besides the skeleton, and it did not CTD.
So, looks like that's the file where the issue lies? I don't know if it's specifically something at my end causing the CTD (it could be, but I won't know till I update to Windows 10 and update my drivers tomorrow afternoon), but if it is, it's when it interacts with that file in the OVL.
The velociraptor93_skeleton.mdl2?? I've never touched that mdl2 file. Only the velociraptor93.mdl2. That's really odd. I would really like to know if this error occours to other people, who downloaded it. IDK if having an older Windows might be the reason. Maybe. Maybe not. What version is your JWE? Do you have any other mods in? But it does work now for you?
Yep, quite a lot of other mods, including every single one you've published. :P
I honestly couldn't tell you the version number of JWE, but I keep it up to date, so it's the newest one.
Hmm, if you didn't touch that file, then I'm now even more convinced the problem might be my graphics drivers doing something weird to that ovl; I've been having crashes due to the game not liking the Steam overlay, and they only started when I updated my drivers to play Red Dead 2, soooo...
I'm literally about to install Windows 10 in like a minute and a half, so still being on Windows 7 might be a factor as well. I'll let you know if it works after I've got everything reinstalled.
I just want to add that I am also getting CTD with the 93 and 97 Raptors after installing this mod.
EDIT: I'm running this on Windows 7. My JWE is the latest version. Mods I have installed are JW Revolution, JPOG Texture pack, New Deinonychus Skin, Stan Winston T-Rex, Toothless Pteranodon, and Environment Re-Work. I don't know if any of those would cause any conflict.
Oh, and also the "Velociraptor skin fixer upper" mod from moddb. That one only affects the base JW raptors, though.
In which case, my guess'd be cobra-tools smurfing something up in the first place, so if it was a file Niko had no need to modify, there's no way he even COULD catch the error.
Again, kudos to ye, Niko, this is one of the mods I've been most waiting for!

Thank you! I've fixed the pupils on the raptors now.
Sure, can do. Good you pointed that out. :D
I've never looked too much into these details.

But I appreciate your feedback!

That's really weird. I've uploaded a new WinRar file. I hope it'll work this time.

That's really odd. I would really like to know if this error occours to other people, who downloaded it.

Does the error still occurs?
The original version still isn't working on my rig, even with the upgrade to Windows 10.
BUT...
The most recent updated version works perfectly. Thank you so much for sorting it out, and endorsed! :)
EDIT TO ADD: So that's the 93, 97 and 2001 raptors all working perfectly now. Job's a good'n!
I'm sorry for the hiccups and thanks to you for your tests!
The main thing is it's sorted and working, and looks awesome. Proper raptor mouths, finally! :D

I totally forgot about them.
Thank you!
