Tried downloading the Mod Manager through the link provided and saw this it looks like the Mod Manager I was supposed to download to use this mod has been hidden as of December 29 2024. So that's it then. This mod's broken until the Mod Manager is put back, or there's somehow a way to install this manually. That sucks.
I got a weird bug or something. I installed the mod just fine, but the voice of Haruma definitely feel softer than the video comparison. By softer I dont mean quieter, I mean less intense, more calm, and I watched the two voices and it's like it's not even both of the two version... am I crazy ? Im playing with headphone and all the other voices looks good, but him doesnt match the same voice as the video here
This is an awesome mod! really! Question though, are the assets like the videos(opening for example) or images ripped from the ps4? if so are they lower quality than the ones already in the vanilla pc game? or is the pc version just using those OG 1080p videos from the re-release?
In general, the PS3/PS4 originals are probably the same or higher quality than the PC restorations, considering the original Yakuza games were stored on Blu-ray with much higher storage space available. (That was the case with some previous Yakuza restoration projects.)
The assets are ripped from the PS4 version. The opening was slightly edited, because no western opening has Pierre Taki on it.
PS4 assets are also 1080p, just like PC, however some prerendered cutscenes that were 60 FPS in the remaster are 30 FPS with this mod now, however there aren't a lot of prerendered cutscenes in these games.
I noticed that the mod cutscenes have more graphics artifacts specially on specular detail, also they have the old color grading for skin, is fine, worth it.
All cutscenes apart from intro video were just taken from original Japanese PS4 release, so it's either how they were in original, or it's the issue with the tint that remaster applies to everything

If you do, try to move all the sounds to one mod's folder - RMM has some issues with multiple mods editing sound and movie files in Judgment.
Anyways, I updated the mod's requirements to use that link instead.
but i believe in you
you can probably make it work on linux somehow
maybe this helps https://github.com/mosamadeeb/RyuModManager/issues/5#issuecomment-1139085856

HERE EXAMPLES: mod
PC vanilla
for the specular detail examples I should use videos tho
No hotfix this time, because due to changes in the file structure, the entire patch has to be redownloaded.
Not to disrespect Taki-sensei. But I happen to find the new model more fitting of a slimy yakuza character. The voice however, Taki is still better.
Thanks.
I will not reencode all the prerendered videos to replace the voice only, however.
