Sure, but where are the models? Its not just pictures you know, the hard work are the models...\UnitData\ You cant just add pictures, if that would be the case i would have added a lot more.
No offense, but the images you used are terrible and most don't even have transparent backgrounds or the right dimensions. As for the models, yes I understand what you're saying but I use the mod for battle suits, it rewrites the models anyway. However I was just offering a suggestion, to use or not to use more themed images is everyone's choice.
Edit for a note: I had an issue, but I'm thinking now that it may have been a bug in the game related to having two saves with custom mercs that had the same name, not an issue with the mod.

I like it, but the mismatch with the model is pretty harsh. I'm using the IMP_01 portrait, but it's giving me a bald black man for the model. I'm not sure if it's possible to change it, but it's kind of annoying.
No, I didn't alter anything. I have never even downloaded the modenabler.
I started a new game (unmodded), ran it for a few hours, decided to restart, installed this mod, made a new character, chose one of the images here, and the body was a mismatch.
I have changed the Merc's preset to Imp no. 2 to get rid of the Gus-lookalike-contestant. All other changes (like the cap) are made in AppearancePreset.lua. I didn't care about the goggles. The colours have been mysterious in the beginning: a. they don't look like RGB colours (in-game) and b. some of the descriptions are cryptic, e.g. 'ShirtColor' does not change the shirt's colour - instead 'BodyColor2' is used to dye it, haha. Perhaps this is helpful for someone out there ...
Thanks. Unfortunately, by the time you updated it, I'd already rebuilt a new character with a different portrait, but I appreciate you making the effort.
I was thinking about this today, and came up with a possible cause: My first merc on release used the Black portrait/character model. My second one (with your mod) was a brand new character, but used the same name as the first character. I'm wondering if it isn't a bug on their end, with some aspects of the merc's features (like their model) being tied to the name, perhaps a file somewhere that gets reused.
In any case, while I didn't end up using the mod, I don't think this was an issue with it specifically, but since it did what it was supposed to do, and because you went out of your way to address it anyway, I'll still endorse it.
pic size = 250x300 + alpha channel (transparency behind her head and shoulders)
Edit: If done correctly it should look like this (top pic is 250x300px, the one below is 300x300px):
Corrections in red ink: I initially thought that a pic format of 250x300px would be more 'portrait style' (thus avoiding the ui overlapping the merc's chin etc.) but the game does not zoom the image. So the correct scale is indeed 300x300px.
I tried to edit the portrait with PS (because chin of the portrait covered by the hp bar) and the portrait just disappear from the game, Have I missed something?
*Never mind. I found instructions on how to do it. I couldn't find it before.
Could you make a blonde female? I got one of the portraits customized, but there are no blonde bodies. The one vanilla IMP with short blonde hair and glasses would work. The portrait has blonde hair and the body has black. Kinda creeped me out when I realized my error.
