May I ask what changed bw 1.8 and 1.8.1, please? Been using v1.8 of this very useful feature for the past couple of days, and wouldn't want to eff anything up.
This works beautifully. I get the devs' reasoning. I'd also sit there and min-max every decision, something I'd rather not do. But there is a happy medium between 'no info' and 'too much info'. This provides it.
Agreed 100% A merc would be able to give you a better description of expected results than just listing all the factors as + or - without any weight to each.
It's really surprising that this mod isn't more highly rated, it's the perfect blend of 'too little and too much' information. Being able to select between marksmanship and wisdom for how it's calculated is even better.

This. It even goes to lengths to address would much the Merc would be able to rate his own likeliness. Kalyna is not that smart, so she never goes beyond "Likely" for me, even though I know she shoots better, she can't say beyond "eh, I'll probably hit it". Great stuff.
Agreed as well. This is a really good solution. JA2 1.13 even had something similar, where it did have a chance-to-hit-bar, the bar isn't 100% accurate either, it's just the "guesstimation" of the merc based on their attributes. I wish they thought something like this originally. I'd love to have these chances given flavor text too depending on the merc, it fits so well.
