Can we use this mod's technique to add recipe to extract Blackpowder from Ammo?

I think there is already a mod that does exactly that.
      https://www.nexusmods.com/jaggedalliance3/mods/29
And yes it is the same technique, but instead of knife it uses wire cutter.

An exploit is though that the leftover hits of ceramics can be reset by removing and reattaching.
This worked better with separated armor and plate conditions with previous JA titles.
In the end, all the additional ceramic and weave combination items become superflous too, although ceramics can quickly get wasted in a single round.

      Hi,

      Nice!

I assume I can combine it back to make plated armor?

      thanks.

You are correct. Unfortunately with the current state of the original modding tool i don't think there is an easy way to define the number of plate hits an armor has during a combine action.
However I have some ideas to fix this:

•The condition of the armor is retained when you add a padding or plate so it also worked vice versa as proven with this mod. Therefore one solution may be directly transfering plates like this: armor A plated + armor B -> armor A + armor B plated. This is just a theory though, I have no idea how the game would react when there is two seperate armors in the combine action. Even if this works I don't find this ideal though.

•Another solution is writing a script, which although I do code I don't have time to learn to code for this game.

•The best solution would be making duplicates of the same plated armor with different levels of plate amounts and make it work that plates actually take one hit, and when it does it degrades to a lower level until there is no plates left. This way when you remove the plate with combine action you remove another duplicate of the plate that corresponds to the level of that armor.
      Example: plated armor w/ 2 hits + knife = armor + knife + 1/2 ceramic plate
This still may require some scripts but probably is simpler.

Edit: I have just realised that there is actually a way to adjust how many hits it takes before reverting back to it's original form. Gotta do tests with this.

Edit 2: Omg, in the first version I gave every combine action (removing paddings and plates) revert back function after 4 hits, so effectively
you probably get your paddings and plates back on your empty armor making this a never ending padding/plate factory, LOL. I fixed it and issued an updated version.
