As most Valuables look unique, I'd rather keep it at 100% like originally: Big Diamond, Chipped Sapphire, Diamond Shipment, Diamond Necklace, Gold Bar, Golden Watch, Green Diamond, Tiny Diamonds, Ancient Figurine, Ancient Golden Dog, Ancient Idol, Ancient Bronze Mask, Ancient Clay Tablet.
No idea yet if and how often Tiny Diamonds can drop on regular baddies, but if the rest of these are stored on unique NPCs then it's better to let them always drop, especially if they are more or less important for quests.
I'll tell you a secret... Open file 'items.lua' (provided in this mod package) with Notepad or something, and replace all 'value = 50,' to 'value = 100,' Voila!
Im not 100% sure if i fixed that in the old version already but this version has the change of that disabled/removed to change the valuables droprate. Thanks for your comment!
can you write a better description of what this mod does. you mean items drop at 50% ? but there is already a gun mod with higher drop rates. so whats this one for?
edit - so there are % tables for drops from enemies
ammo
weapons
armor
uniques
this thing sets values to 50%. where some before might be 10% or 20%
there are mods out there now that let you custom set in in the mod menu. so just download those. or updated versions where its a nice mix already preset.
I agree the custom settings mod is brilliant! I will keep this mod up anyways for someone who just doesn't need other options and like why not? :D Thanks for your comment mate!
Compared to other similar mods, this (and I'd guess the 25% one too) has an issue: the valuables category has 100% drop rate in vanilla, and this mod lowers it to 50. Among valuables there MIGHT be quest items too, which if not dropped could break quests (not confirmed, but possible). And, in general, valuables are guaranteed to drop for a reason (diamond shipments, for instance, where the whole point is to drop the diamond case).
Hello, sorry for the late response this was just uploaded cause of a users request and left alone since then... This mod never changed the valuables cause i saw that issue as well in the other drop rate mods... Goodpoint tho! Thank you very much for your comment!
