Any chance I could be told the file for the cursor so I can delete it? I'm getting annoyed at the perpetual presence of the mouse cursor on the screen when I'm trying to play with a controller...
I feel I have no right to criticize because I couldn't make this. And of course as with modding generally, all the modder is doing is freely offering to the world their preferences - and people can take it or leave it.
Nevertheless, I would echo what some have said - that some of the art design choices and departures from the original design are questionable and/or seem idiosyncratic. :) The new style icons and the bright blue selection exclamation marks in particular look like they're from a different, more cartoon-stylized sort of game.
The original art design of the UI didn't cry out for anything to be changed. IMHO the UI just needs to be tweaked to fit widescreen better (and in that area, for example, many of the circular elements in the UI like the menu selection circles across the top are still oval at 1920x1080).
Seconded. I also noted that the yellow backgrounds on a lot of the menus make the text really difficult to read. I thought this was just going to upscale the gui, but the arbitrary changes lowering visibility are kinda offputting.
Thanks a bunch for this, been picking bits here and there to see what I like best
Just saying cause I didn't see it posted here. For those interested and for my own future reference, to just get rid of the black bars just replace the LTI_CONVOENT.gti and lti_CONVOREP.gti files
I am sorry, it may be my installation step's misleading. Do you extract the override folder from the downloaded zip file into the override folder? It should be on the jade empire folder, so the same file will be overwritten by the file from the mod
Looks really promising! This game certainly deserves all the love it can get, and you demonstrate through your recent mods that there is still more potential here. ?
I'd suggest one thing for this one, though: Some more pics, especially comparisons of before and after, would come in handy. That would also make the change more visible and obvious. That's always good for creating excitement for your mod.
I'm sorry about that, I hope it's fixed on v 1.06.1 EDIT: v1.06.1 suffers a blow. It shows weird Options sub menu screens if the Option 's called from Main menu without loading any game first, so I relesase 1.06.2 to fix. Sorry about that.
