The clipping between Dawn Star's original face and Wu's isn't occasional - in fact, it's only occasionally that it's not clipping. Takes you right out of the game, very weird to look at. I appreciate the effort on this one, but anyone considering using it should be aware.
a necessary mod indeed, dawnstar is ugly as fuck. dawnstar is probably the ugliest love interest in any bioware game, even garrus is prettier than dawnstar, biatch looks like is jack ma's grandmama.
I've noticed that during the Invasion of Dirge when you use Dawn and Lian to fend off the assassins it reverts back to the original model. Not cutscenes mind, but gameplay.
It shouldn't do. That should be covered by the j00c_dstar_c7.cre and/or j00c_dstar_c7b.cre creature files included in the mod. Can you confirm those are in your Override folder? Is this the original or Origin version? Not that it should matter in theory.
Sorry for taking so long... Both files are in my Override, and I'm using the Steam Special Edition version (I got the Origin version for free just to get a forum widget, ;^) but that was after I'd already finished a run with the instance I described). Note I'm also using the Jade Empire in Style mod and a skin replacer for the Lu PC, if that makes any difference.
Assuming you are still on the same save almost a year later, I would try copying the mod's files to the Override a second time, overwriting when prompted.
I completed another JE playthrough a few months ago using this mod and I didn't encounter your issue. I don't use JEIS myself, so I don't know whether it could be the culprit, but it's possible I guess.
After years (and about a month battling the Jade Master NG+) I found the/a solution! I fiddled with the appearance.2da file and pasted Wu's modela code on Dawn's. I did make a backup of the file just in case and... Success!
