What's Inside
1. Forward-facing cameras linked to screens showing the exterior surroundings.
- The main reason I decided to make this mod in the first place.
2. A rear-facing camera linked to a screen in the back of the sub.
- Useful to quickly check what's behind you, and see how certain events play out.
3. Increased sub speed, acceleration, turning speed, and overall handling.
- Now that you can see, you don't have to worry as much about hitting walls.
- Makes exploring the world much more streamlined.
4. Decreased sub drifting when you let go of a button.
- To pair with the increased speed, you can stop much faster and more precisely.
5. Greatly increased margins of error when taking photos.
- You don't need to be in very specific spots to take photos of landmarks. Much more leeway is given.
What Else?
I purposefully didn't touch anything in the actual world, so that you can experience it exactly as it was designed (with the added ability to see things). Even with an identical world, the game is quite different this time around. Some key moments play out in unexpected ways now that you can see what's outside the sub. Plus, you get to witness the full world the dev created. You might be surprised at how much more there is to find out there.
Installation
To install this mod, simply drop the contents of this folder in to your Iron Lung folder. On the main menu, you should see text from the mod showing it's working. If it isn't working, check out the mod screenshots and make sure your install folder looks the same. I've only tested this on Windows, so no guarantees for Mac or Linux users. If nothing else works, you could try grabbing the latest build of BepInEx yourself and copying the mod to the plugins folder (Iron Lung>BepInEx>plugins>TheLastNavigator>TheLastNavigator.dll).
Changelog
Version 1.0.1
The Iron Lung "Cheats Update" (October 2023) broke the modded terminals, so this new version gets them working again. If you are still on an older version of Iron Lung (pre-October 2023), use Version 1.0.0 of this mod instead.
