Changes several values related to weapons, ammunitions, and suppressors.

Permissions and credits
Fellow stalkers, are you tired of your rifle feeling like a pop gun? Annoyed that the Glock is a jam-o-matic 5000? Confused why +P pistol ammo does more damage than your glorious assault rifle? Sick of repairing your suppressors after every single mission? Then this is the mod for you!

Weapon changes:

  • All intermediate rifles (AKM, SKS, AK74's, AUG, and M4A1) have received base damage buffs.
  • SKS muzzle velocity increased to match real world values.
  • +P ammo has been reduced from 200% damage to 140% damage, and velocity has been increased by 15%.
  • AP ammo has been changed to -10% damage. It has also received a 15% velocity increase.
  • SS ammo has been changed to -15% damage.
  • The G17 has received a complete overhaul. When compared with the M9 it is now slightly less accurate, slightly more reliable, and does the same amount of base damage (30). With upgrades applied to these weapons they are now almost equivalent with each other. For balance reasons the price of the G17 and the magazines has been raised higher than the M9, and it has been locked behind SL2 like the M9.

These changes are intended keep the pistols firmly in a secondary role, and give the rifles the punch they need, without making them feel too OP. They still do less damage than the VSS, Vintorez, Groza, and the snipers/DMRs. Ultimately this mod aims to change the balance of weapons so that there aren’t clear cut “meta” weapons (like the M9).


Please note that I built this mod around normal difficulty with enemy perception and enemy spawn rate increased. I have not tested this mod on lower difficulties, and it may be unbalanced.

Please report any issues you have with these tweaks as I have not had time to thoroughly field test all of the affected weapons.

Suppressor changes:

Comes in 2 versions, Realistic and Vanilla+:

Realistic makes all rifle suppressors self-cleaning (i.e. they do not degrade). The pistol suppressor still degrades, but more slowly than vanilla. All the weapon wear coefficients have been reduced to varying degrees. NATO suppressors add .1 wear per shot, Pistol suppressors add 0.08, the 7.62x39 (AK) suppressor adds 0.06, and the 7.62M adds 0.04.

Vanilla+ just reduces the suppressor degradation and weapon wear numbers by half across the board.


Conflict warning:

  • Scavenger mod - technically this mod will work with Scavenger, however Scavenger will overwrite all the changes to the base rifle damages and the G17. The core of the mod (which is actually the changes to ammo values) will remain intact. The suppressor changes will also still work.

  • STALKER mod is almost certainly incompatible and includes it's own tweaks to weapon values.

Due to ITR's file structure, this mod WILL conflict with any mod that modifies DT_WeaponInfos, DT_ItemInfos, or DT_AmmoInfos. The suppressor component of the mod will conflict with any mod that changes the suppressor blueprints, but I am not currently aware of any on the nexus.
