Tellurian is a mod for Impossible Creatures that adds a swathe of new content and radically alters the balance and gameplay of IC without sacrificing what we believe to be the essence of the game. The mod contains dozens of new creatures, new maps, bug fixes, balance adjustments, UI enhancements, and much more.

The Tellurian team extends our heartfelt thanks to the following developers:
- MightySarion, for his tireless work in trudging through IC's code and his efforts to make extra teamcolours possible. - Ulrik de Muelenaere (https://www.github.com/ulrikdem) for making available code to patch the Insect Invasion .dll to allow AI bots in multiplayer. It is thanks to Ulrik that we have been able to rebuild the Tellurian .dll to remove some very insidious glitches.
We would also like to thank the following community members for contributing to the Tellurian project: - Brandon (BChamp), for his work on the Tellurian AI, as well as the Pacific Reef and six player Hill Fort maps and also for giving some fantastic advice and driving discussions on the subject of game balance. - Will (WillSO), for his help in modifying our new .dlls. - Stella, for their lovely maps. - Logan (LBFrank), for his lovely maps.
And finally, we must of course thank our wonderful Patrons for helping to keep Tellurian ticking over via their generous donations. https://www.patreon.com/Tellurian

TELLURIAN 2.9.1.0 CHANGELOG
TUNING:
-- Leap attack range increased to 36.
-- Charge attack speed boost reduced from 3x to 2x; slight range increase.
-- Loner fixed; previously they took 3x damage from all attacks.
-- Flying range (NOT flying artillery) now gets a 1.25x damage multiplier (matching the high ground bonus).
-- Stink slowdown increased from 0.4x unit speed to 0.2x. Stink duration reduced by 20 ticks across the board.
-- Electric burst now delivers its full damage in one tick.
-- ALL artillery now does 0.8x friendly fire damage (most were at 1.0x, poison was at 0.75x).
-- All the lovely aesthetics of hover (eg the wobbliness) have been removed. This is purely practical, to see if it fixes the hover crashes...
ATTRCOMBINER:
Frontend Changes (if you're a player, the below is relevant to you!):
-- Herding rewritten and given a newly-established "herding_ehp_bonus" domain; as such, herding creatures with low defense will no longer be overcharged.
-- Horns cost reduced (parameters changed to {-10, 100, 180, 530} from {0, 120, 200, 550}).
-- Flyer base cost completely removed. Instead, flight now applies an imaginary multiplier to EHP, damage and mobility; these adjusted numbers are then used for all cost calculations.
-- Poison frog can now have leap attack (thanks BChamp!).
-- Charge Attack and Leap Attack moved to EHP and Damage domains; charge a bit more expensive.
-- Minimum flyer build time increased to 40 ticks.
-- Sonic cost reduced slightly.
-- Slight increase in cost of water speed (for both pure swimmer and amphib).
-- Pack Hunter Direct Range and Sonic cost increased by a new multiplier, set to 1.15.
-- Flying range now has a small associated elec cost (as flying range now gets a 25% damage boost).
-- New attr_parameters.lua file in Tellurian/Data; this lua allows us to easily choose between sight radius and power display and more! See the file for more information.
MISC. BALANCE CHANGES:
-- AA Tower attack damage increased from 2x 10 to 2x 12.
-- Defense upgrade cost greatly reduced; some other upgrade costs marginally tweaked.
-- Level 5 research cost reduced from 2500/5000 to 2000/4000.
STOCK CHANGES:
-- Zebra given herding.
-- Poison frog given leap (made possible thanks to great research from BChamp!)
-- Armadillo speed increased from 18 to 23.
-- Dragonfly torso given +2 defense; head given +3 hp. Head melee reduced by 1, front legs melee reduced by 1. Damage scaling increased, so size 12 dragonflies still do the same damage.
-- Scorpion has had 1 melee damage moved from pincers to tail.
-- Leap FX added to tuna, lion, gazelle and poison frog; charge FX added to narwhal.
-- Termite given barrier destroy.
AI:
-- AI knows stink does not counter range.
-- AI knows that SB towers can damage flyers more.
-- AI will now build SB towers in response to digging units as well as camo.
-- Bug fixed where AI would not build workshop or creatures in certain situations.
-- Hard and Expert AI will research motivational speech when they begin researching L3 and are not under attack.
MAPS:
-- New map: Sandbar! A small 1v1 map with a heavy emphasis on aquatic combat.
-- Pier updated; renamed to Oculus.
-- 2SPEC_Plateau spawns fixed to match non-spectator version.
-- Badlands spawns adjusted; player positions now match those of Deep Freeze.
-- Kemarau updated.
UI:
-- Ability tooltips now contain MUCH more useful information.
-- ICO account creation screen is now more robust.
-- ICO name entry dialogue box now displays its title.
-- Multiplayer menu button details restored; LAN IPX option removed.
-- Top player on the leaderboard now has some added flair.

Goals:
1) Balance IC, so that as many stock creatures are as useful as possible.
2) Fill out the IC genetic library with new, interesting stock creatures that are useful without being overpowered.
3) Provide a whole new experience without sacrificing the fundamental feel of IC.
4) Introduce modelling and modding techniques which have never before been available to anyone besides the Impossible Creatures developers themselves.
5) Be continually updated, and improved, so that no creatures remain overpowered or "abused" for long.
