However... after Killing/Taming/Skinning a couple thousand wolves, it seems I still don't know why they like my flesh so much..
So, I tweaked most Point Totals (how many points you need to reach 100%) on all animals following this rule:
- More common Predators (Wolves, Boars, Cave Worms) at 2500 to 2000
- Common Passive animals (Chamois, Deer, Moa) at 1000 to 1500
- Uncommon Predators (Crocodiles, Scorpions, Cougars) at 2000 to 1500
- Most Large animals (Elephants, Mammoths) at 800
- Pets (Horses, Dogs, Chickens, Sheep, Cows.. basically any Workshop Tame) at 800
- Bosses (Landshark, Sandworm) at 500
To make these points a little easier to get, I also changed the Point rewards for the Bestiary, things like Killing and Skinning reward more points, with Skinning on the Bench, Making Trophies and using the Scanner rewarding the highest amount of points.
The examples above aren't the only ones that were changed, just a small list to show the thought process on why the values are what they are. I applied that rule of thumb to every creature in the game and to all actions you can take to get points.
If you don't know how to instal mods for Icarus:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Icarus\Icarus\Content\Paks\mods
Just gotta unpack and drag the .pak file in there, if the Mods folder doesn't exist, create it.
But I highly advise to just use Jim's Mod Manager anyway, it's great.
