Even the file from the github does not seem to work. Hollow Knight launches and behaves as if no mods are installed, or immediately generates a Unity error and fails to launch at all. I haven't even been able to pinpoint any one mod as a culprit in any of this happening since none of them have worked properly, so at this point I can only assume it's a problem with Scarab itself.
The only things I can guess are:
1. The loader has mods listed that are no longer supported and are incompatible with the game with no indications to tell such in READMEs or otherwise, and if that's the case I have to ask why,
2. Maybe the install path it found has somehow defaulted to the wrong place (dunno if "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hollow Knight" is the right spot, but I feel like it should be), or
3. Seeing how it's interacted so far, I think maybe Hollow Knight and/or Steam just doesn't like the loader.
All of this is with the latest versions of both Hollow Knight and Scarab up. Can't for the life of me figure out why it doesn't want to work.
Update: Scarab keeps making my game fail to start since any first mod active and even if then disabled, i have to reinstall (from backup) to get game to work again. :/ ? Im ganna try Mod installer. ?
Update: Mod installer exe creates AU and then does nothing, and nothing. >_> sigh. :(
Note: i have legit version launching through steam, using the 1.4.3.2 beta option.
Update: I trashed the beta thing and tried latest scarab with lastest hollow knight and IT WORKED. ffs. >_>

notice the /releases/ part? thats important.
how to download: click the windows.zip (if on windows). extract to _some folder for it_. (then click the .exe to start it up)
