For those seeking invincibilty in current version in the game, there's a workaround. Use online save editor you can find by simply browsing "Hollow Knoght save editor" Find Save Files on path "Users\(Your Username)\AppData\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight" The save file we need are named User1, User 2, etc. Depending on slot you saved on. Drag and drop desired save file in Save Editor. Seek "invinciTest" Replace "false" with "true"
Where is my save folder? The Hollow Knight save folder may be different depending on your OS (windows, mac, linux) and game platform (steam, gog, etc). Google it like so hollow knight mac steam save file location .
NOTE: AppData is a hidden folder located in C:\Users\<username>\AppData. if you have no idea how to find it, google it
Hello everyone. I'm here to tell you that this 100% works. I'm beyond stoked. This is a very very awesome workaround. A HUGE THANK YOU to Kaytee1 ( go put kudos on their page ) for this!
FYI - you will not take damage from enemies, but you will still DIE if you jump on spikes, lol. I found THAT out 5 seconds in. I haven't been to acid yet, or thorns, but I'll update my post if those kill you too. I'l also post any other things this workaround affects as they come up.
WE LOVE YOU KAYTEE1!!!/
For anyone who wants to do this on Windows 10, I can tell you how I did it. - Press CTRL-R on your computer. - enter %AppData% - My computer puts me into appdata > Roaming. You want to go one file back, so at the top of your window, click in the file path area on AppData to go where you need to go. - Click on LocalLow, then Team Cherry, then HollowKnight. - Hold down CTRL and left click to drag/copy the filesave ( either User1 or User2 depending on which save slot you want to edit ) to your desktop. - Go to https://bloodorca.github.io/hollow/ or any other online save editor. This is just the one I used. - Open the file you saved to your desktop. There will be a section that populates below that has a TON of text. Click in that window ( but don't delete anything yet! ) and then: - CTRL-F and then type in invinciTest. It'll highlight some text. DONT TOUCH THE ONE THAT SAYS INVINCIBILITY. Look for the one that says invinciTest. Next to it, it will say "false". Replace it with "true". In mine, it did not have quotations around it. It just said false and I deleted it and typed true. - Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click download encrypted for PC. - Open your download folder - rename the file to user1 or user2 ( whichever save you originally wanted to alter. It will default name it to User1. Please make sure you change it if you don't want it to write over your other file. - Open the Hollowknight folder again. Left click and totally move ( don't copy it ) to the desktop. That is now your backup save. Put it somewhere safe and rename it as your backup. - Drag and drop your user2 file from your downloads folder to your Hollowknight folder. - DONE. Now you can log in and play the file you changed.
For those of you who are somehow bad enough that you need invincibility, either use WeMod on the most updated version of HK, or use the debug menu from the mod installer if you're on 1.4.3.2.
I would love to complete the rest of the game with this mod. @lololmasta874 Can you give us an ETA for when the mod will be updated so that it works with version 1.5.75.11827?
