This seems extremely useful, and I myself want to try to make mods. But how do I use it? When I have coded something, how do I put it into effect when opening Hogwarts Legacy? Do I just Copy+Paste all of the header files into some folder, or do I have to use a program to do most of the work for me?
If it is possible to write a mod that fixes the bug I ran into I'll pay for your work - pm me if interested https://hogwartslegacy.bugs.wbgames.com/bug/HL-8069
It should be possible, but i currently don't have the time to do that Edit: You could also try a save editor for triggering the quest, it can work, be sure to backup your save before modifying it
I was able to open the save, extract the databases, and then browse Missions and figure out that NTR missions refer to Poppy Sweeting so this line about NTR_Conv_06 sitting with a status of "Preactive" *might* be the line I want... but I have no idea what I am doing >.>
I shared some instructions here for reactivating the Follow the Butterflies quest. It's possible to reference that and likely do the same with any quest, but we need a save from someone who has not started the quest you're looking for (just sitting there, waiting)... or play through another character slot until you get there. One would need to compare how the entries look like there vs the one that you're currently having issues with. With any luck, it would be just a matter of copying the working rows into the broken save.
Thank you very much Ka1var! It looks more complicated than just one row if it took 5 row edits to fix that butterfly one... Having a save before and after triggering the mission would be fantastic... but I have no idea where I'd get those saves lol It does seem like save editing *could* fix this issue, but without those saves... idk how I'd do it :S
