This mod will silence the looping background music played in the Room of Requirement (RoR).
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (same as most of the mods):
Go to ...\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods (create the folder ~mods if there's none). Extract the contents of the zip file and put the .pak file inside it. Don't rename it! Should look something like this.
After that, simply play the game and you're good to go. Tested with latest Steam version, v1126182 (8 March 2023).
UNINSTALL: just remove the .pak file from the aforementioned folder.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Instead of playing the original theme, it just reproduces a blank audio file.
IS IT SAFE? DO I NEED TO BACKUP?
No, since it does not modify any in-game file. It is loaded after the main game files and redirects every call to play that music to the blank audio file provided by this mod. You don't have to replace any file.
IS IT SAVE-GAME COMPATIBLE?
Yes! 100%.
CAN I BREAK ANYTHING?
This is a straightforward and harmless mod that doesn't modify any game db or table.
IS IT COMPATIBLE WITH...
It will work with every mod, unless those that somehow modify the game music themes, especially the background music inside the RoR, like these ones by bodyXY and wulfstar1.
CAN YOU PLAY SANDSTORM (DARUDE) INSTEAD?
I won't take any requests since my mod only aims to remove the background music. Try asking - politely - in the mod ideas section on the Discord Community.

WHY WOULDN'T I JUST TURN THE MUSIC OFF IN THE SETTINGS? ASDASD ROFL LOL
Completely disabling all in-game music feels inappropriate, as many other songs are pretty enjoyable and not as pervasive. Going back and forth in those sluggish settings menus doesn't feel like a solution either.

The Room of Requirement background music got me crazy. Playing for more than 30 minutes straight inside it, and that silly, pesky background music with trumpets and flutes gets stuck in my head, makes me dizzy and torments me while trying to fall asleep (!).
Point is, it's just 1:40 minutes long and it goes on forever and ever in a loop. Given that many players spend hours in making the cosiest RoR ever, and since that tune isn't well suited for whoever wants to transform the RoR into an eerie gothic cathedral, this becomes a nasty issue pretty fast. So I've come up with this mod, for your mental sanity.

Questo mod silenzia la fastidiosa musica di sottofondo all'interno della Stanza delle Necessità. Per installarlo basta copiare il file .pak all'interno della cartella sopra indicata. Non c'è bisogno di backup ed è compatibile con il tuo salvataggio. Buon divertimento!
