Everything is fine, but i don't see change on Bombarda spell. Does Bombarda increased damage too ?

bombarda (player spell) is coded to the same ID as expulso (NPC spell). So to increase bombarda's damage I had to increase expulso's

check to see if you have expulso when youre merging the mods with other mods that include spell changes to ensure my mod fully carries forward. if you're just using my mod on its own, then yes it does

if I download this and have no other mods for damage or enemies does it make it so its easier to kill and be killed? i want enemies (normal mobs) to go down in 2-4 hits and for me to die easier too but not too easy thanks

does this improve spell damage for enemies

It affects your spell damage so you'll kill enemies alot faster depending on which increased % you choose. Additionally as I mentioned in the description, your non damaging spells such as Accio, Levioso, etcc will now do damage so you can imagine how much more outgoing damage you will be able to output. The only other spell that potentially has higher damage dealt to you would be 'Expulso', from what I recall while editing the values. Im sure you've heard some enemies say this spell. This is because bombarda (player spell) is coded to the same ID as expulso (NPC spell). So to increase bombarda's damage I had to increase expulso's.

If you want to die easier but not too easy you could always play on Hard. You dont get one shot unless you're severely underleveled but you can only take 2-3 chain hits (depending on how hard those hits are) before you hit the ground. Enemies without HP increases on vanilla Hard mode will still die to you relatively quickly even without my mods. Im saying this from experience. Its why I play on 100% increased HP which then led to me making this mod because the base game's spell damage is too low and not balanced around 100% increased HP.

Hi. You may laugh at this question, but I'm wondering if Accio and Levioso might destroy puzzle items since the spells now damage with your mod installed. I'd hate for a flying platform to break into pieces if I use Accio to fetch it or a boulder in one of the Merlin trials to crack up when I push it away or pull it towards me 😱 Although, tbh, I have accidentally cast a basic damage spell at these items with no permanent harm done, but that's basic cast power.

I checked the Hogwarts Mod Merger and noticed that editing the mod as you suggest is not exactly user-friendly atm, and I've no mad editing skills: "Each mod's changes can now be edited to your liking. Note this is the raw SQL query that can be edited. More user-friendly editing is coming soon."

Lol I did laugh at the question but Im more surprised at the fact you even had that as a question lmao. Those inanimate objects dont have HP so no they dont break because if they did then every single puzzle in the base game without mods would be breakable because of depulso. While depulso does no damage, colliding an object/enemy with another object/enemy/terrain will cause damage. In short, no you'll be fine lol

I dont recall mod merger allowing value edits, that feature is exclusive to SQL programs. What mod merger does allow you to do is choose what gets merged and what doesnt, which is what I meant with my description. Say for example you just want the increased spell damage but dont want the non damaging spells to do damage. In this case when you merge my mod, you click onto Accio for example and you delete that entry so it doesnt get merged into the final MergedMod_P.pak

I removed some spells with Hogwarts Mod Merger but nothing changed - zMergedMods_P.pak doesn't affect anything

    hi mate

is it possible to make a mod just increasing the damage of petrificus totalus? like same value like avada kedavra.
its super annoying sneaking on them and they survive with 10%HP and your cover blows.

also i have a mod who gives enemys much more HP. in a fight its okay. but my petrificus totalus cant kill a simple dog anymore :D

Done. Only Petrificus Totalus matches Avada Kevadra's damage values. Check optional files, I included your name in the file description.

There were 2 values that had the name Petrificus, one with spell travel speed and one without. I assume the one with spell travel speed is the one that NPCs use since we as players cant cast Petrificus as a ranged spell, so I didnt touch that one. Go ahead and test out the file and let me know if it works.

This is what I was looking for too.  It did not work for me but maybe the other guy had better luck.  Some npcs it did kill like wolves spiders basic poachers etc well others shrugged it off with half or less of there health left.  The jerks lol.  Maybe the other fellow had better luck.  Thanks for the mod anyways

      Hello,

at first thanks for the effort.
I testet it a bit and its not working for me aswell. I have a mod that gives enemys 100% more HP.
      https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/229
I tried to oneshot some foes some of the weaker ones die instant. Stronger ones keep like half of their HP. But Avada Kedavra Oneshots them.
I use the modmerger and i loaded your mod as last one and as first one, but no difference. Cant oneshot stronger Enemys.
I also have a mod that affects the spell range but i also tried it without this mod no difference.

I dont have tested if enemys oneshot me with ranged petrificus cuz i didnt find an enemy whos casting that on me for now :D

thanks for reporting that. I've edited the other petrificus value on the DB and updated the file. Try testing that one and let me know if that works. If it still does not work I'll have to look into petrificus and the other possible spell names it might be sharing with, like expulso (enemy spell) and bombarda (player spell)

      nice it works !!!
it also kills now stronger enemys in an instant.
and the enemy petrificus dont deal a single damagepoint. just petrifizes.

i had some trouble with my spellrange mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/610) that stopped working.
but i fixed it by load your mod before the spellrangemod in mod merger.

      thank u a lot!!

Does this increase all spells damage, when I'm merging it seems there's a lot of them missing. Or is it a work in progress?

Its not a work in progress, I've tested all variants myself and damage across the board is increased respectively to the flavour's % values. What are you merging my mod with? If you are merging with mods that affect spells make sure you preview the changes in mod merger to see if my mod values are getting overwritten. Mod merger author has stated that values will get overwritten if they're the same field or something like that, if I recall.

It's probably fine, I have a sneaking suspicion it was me getting it wrong when I was going through the spell lists to do a double check anyway. :D Great work!
