I normally don't release anything publicly so I really appreciate the feedback. I will be using this pinned comment to address any issues and future updates.
Issues Unfortunately there are some conflicts causing crashes for some users, I have had no issues in my testing though I do not have many mods installed. Sadly I'm not experienced enough with UE4 and there is currently not enough documentation on Hogwarts Legacy to understand why these issues are happening, from what I can see similar issues are plaguing the Vanilla Ponytails mod which uses the same method of replacement (Data Asset rather than mesh) From what I've seen on the mod server multiple mods using the same chunk id can cause issues which has prompted my 1.01 update to chunk 140. I will be uploading a 1.02 update to add the z_ prefix which is apparently good practice for UE4 though this may only fix the files not loading for some users.
Upcoming I am currently working on a new main version along with a requested alt pack alongside a new update.

New main version - Trimmed Beards & More RELEASED!
Spoiler:
Show
This new pack will use the large variation of facial hairs that are hidden away for NPC use
Chin
Chin Strap
Chops
Beard
Goatee
Mustache
There are 4 variations for each of these (5 o'clock shadow, full, patchy, stubble.) Pictured above are Beard 5 o'clock & Goatee Full There will be no alternative way to choose colour for this version of the mod as these appear to use default hair options These should work fine with every head model as they are not 3d meshes.
Alt Versions Eyebrow Beard Color RELEASED! This version will move the beard color options over to the eyebrow slider allowing for mismatched hair and beards Eyebrow replacers As we have a bunch of beards that have built in eyebrows and alt version where you can choose these as an eyebrow option is in the works, this version will only have color decided by the eyebrow option rather than the hair option and will come out after. Note: These versions will be lower priority, depending on the route I take making these, eyebrow colors may look slightly different to vanilla. Once released they will receive no further major updates as they will not work correctly with changes in 1.1
Minor + Major Update I have 2 planned updates so far. Minor 1.1 Version This update will aim at reducing some of the oddities some of these options cause, primarily the scruffy option in pack 1. Main focus for this version will be implementing the options from the trimmed beards option alongside the 3d mesh beards, this should help hide minor gaps in some facial hair options and also make the options look more natural.
Major 2.0 Version This version will essentially be the original goal for the mod, add the 3d NPC beards for our player characters. Sadly the devs decided some NPCs have beards above their eyes. With this version I plan on modifying the 6 beards that also add eyebrows so they are once again just beards. The biggest hurdle for this is actually getting my copy of blender working and not crashing the game when the new mesh is loaded
Planned Release Order Trimmed Beards & More Eyebrow Color Optional Version Eyebrow Options 1.1 Update 2.0 Update
Not Planned - Fixing floating or clipping on head X Due to the way the game attaches beards (which I have very limited info on) I will not fix or be able to fix the gaps caused by some of these options, the only way I can fix is by adding new meshes which will result in needing a version for all 15 head models which then gives 30 individual versions of the mod to manage way outside the scope, I recommend choosing another option or going with the trimmed beards version instead once it releases.
Upcoming Features (Now In BETA) & Radio Silence I appologise for the silence recently, have been wanting to put further work into the mod but haven't had the time due to work. Thankfully in this time many options have appeared which will allow the mod to finally allow facial hair and scars to work together. Have already tested with a few dirty edits and working fine.
Spoiler:

The Good
No more sepearate packs, all full/3d options and trimmed options will be available.
Will now be able to have a scar alongside your chosen facial hair
New options can now be added without the without worrying about only having 9 slots.
The Bad
Facial Hair Options will no longer be accessible through the Character Creation menu or cosmetics shop (see below)
Why these issues, can't you do X? The UI issue In order to make these changes I will be making some major changes in the background, first will be changing the facial hair options from FaceMarking2 (scars) over to FaceMarking3 (makeup) which from my investigations in both the UI database and avatar presets data is actually unused for players and sadly not available on the frontend to change, so in order to make the mod work the mod will either require Character Editor Mod or I will include my own menu to choose new facial hair options through. Either that or I actually work out how to modify the default UI OK but what about Extended CC mod? I love their work, it's what inspired me to investigate how to open up the menus further myself, I wanted to be able to support but at the end of the day it's not a framework meaning any updates will now rely on a third party and the further I go the more I will likely add, I am already planning additional short options But I still want those options! You still will be able to, I'm not going to go the same route and add in all the FaceMarking3 entries I need and call it a day, I am in the process of expanding out the selections myself but plan to do it in a way that will essentially be a framework, anyone who makes a character creation mod, hair, head, etc can just simply add in their own data for new slots added and release as their own mod.
Again, image search 9th / 10th grade yearbooks and they are still baby faces or else just whisps on everyone. If you had a full beard at 15 like this mod does - that is not normal
i hit puberty so early i had full beard (albeit thin and blonde colored) at 12,13 and my voice was changed too EVERYONE made fun of me... even the teacher once called me "monkey boy from jumanji" xD
BUT i can see how those long beards like Dumbledore are a problem lol
I have a problem, i was tried the expanded beta and the description say requires character editor mod, so i just download the expanded beta also the character editor through vortex, and then i go in game and found nothing about the beard, theres only the character editor mod with normal menu, someone can help me ? did i missing any step ?
Download the character editor mod, go into the makeup options, and for me they were white squares and they all appear on my character just fine! i have lots of mods installed so no conflicts to mess with this mod to my knowledge. goodluck!
Okay I know the problem is me and my reading comprehension skills here. Between the description page and your stickied comments I should be able to get the beards working. But I am not understanding how to put the beards on.
One of these two I am interested in: MarkingMale003FHair043 Beard - Stubble MarkingMale003FHair044 Goatee - 5 O'Clock Shadow
And I do have the character editor installed and working just fine. What other steps am I missing?
for the beta version, before I download, I was wondering; are we able to choose what scar and what beard we want individually, or are the scars fixed with a certain beard, regardless? like, if we want option-3 beard, but with option-7 scar? or are we stuck with option-4 beard & option-4 scar?

I can relate...
Feel free to Image search "Middle School Yearbooks" - 15 would put you right at the end of middle school (9th grade to be more specific)
