Almost every wand mod I download has broken textures. They are in the correct folders, with the rest of my mods, and there is only ever one wand mod installed at once, so no other wand mod conflicts. I was wondering if someone could assist me with this issue.
this mod broke my game when i tryd another wand mod now its onley this mod no matter what i do even if i reinstal my game or remove al mods onley thing i see is this wand
By chance do you have any other mods installed? currently there is a thing with mods and compatibility with each other and I will be making a update for that sometime soon
I believe I need to make a clearer instructions cause I know I forgot to put in the fact that one must extract the files from the .zip folder into the ~mods folder (or create a folder named ~mods in the paks folder) for it to work.... but it should work
Thank you so much for this! I was very unhappy with my wand choice because like most players I didn’t know wand handles were a thing when I first made mine and consequently almost none of the handles matched it and the few that did made the whole wand look like a screwdriver.
The Ancient Wand is a beautiful design and I am much happier with it but I was wondering if it would be possible to replicate this mod with other existing wand textures from the game? I noticed Rookwood’s wand looked very good and some of the teacher’s wands as well. I tried following the guide you linked but I am afraid I am hopelessly incompetent when it comes to stuff like this.
If it’s not too much trouble to replicate the process and add more wands I will be very grateful and I am sure other players would as well. Once again many thanks, cheers!
P.S. The real solution to all the wand woes would be for the devs to simply allow us to customize them via an option like the barbershop at Olivander’s but alas I don’t think they ever plan to do anything more with the game, including any future DLCs.
So there are a lot of wands that uses similar handles and shapes yet have different textures to them, Headmaster Black has a unique wand and texture for his usage. But I have seen some that are more unique and with interesting textures I thought about trying when I can find them again.
I may be looking into adding another wand or two after doing some more testing with modding myself since this is the first UE4 mod I ever done.
Ooh! That’s really cool, I didn’t realize Black had a unique wand, I’ve been using his outfit because I like the tailored look so his wand would be a perfect match, haha. It’s a shame they didn’t include more unique wands that change the entire texture rather than just the handles. The wand customization in general is sadly rather lacking. Thanks again for your hard work, it’s much appreciated!
