Still love the idea of dementors swooping down on you if you get too high or something--a hard limit world boundary you'd never run into without installing mods like these.
I started my character from the Flying Class Lawn.
I flew as high in the sky as I could. Over the clouds and higher.
I flew as far away as I could.
Between 11,555 and 11,588, the screen entered into darkness. No clouds, sun, mountains, water, buildings, grass, enemies, students, professors, or stars showed. You can still see the swoosh effects from the flying broom however.
Heading back towards the starting point, it looked normal again between 11,540 and 11,573.
It also seems you can keep going and going like the Energizer Bunny out of bounds. You'll just be in darkness.
You can fly over the orange barriers. You can then go down into the barriers. When you do, it will countdown from 5 to 0. You'll be surrounded by orange. You won't be able to access any menu. Speeding up will be disabled. Simply keep navigating downwards until you touch the ground. You'll be inside of the locale you was heading to. The screen will appear normal again and you can play normally.
The sun also rises and sets in-game; pretty cool immersion.
Could be because it seems to share the pakchunk it uses with a handful of other mods. I believe the brighter bright spark broom one might. Use the Pakchunker to check, it might not be loading the mod if they share one
Hi Aiden, just wanted to mention that this mod is excellent. I've had no issues with it at all and until there is a mod that removes the orange barrier walls, it's useful for getting around the map. If you are considering a new project related to flying or expanding on this mod, I would like to suggest removing the barrier walls. Thank you for you excellent work :).
Funny enough, I flew over the mountain that separates the southern chunk yesterday without this mod lol, still a good mod, really odd how they handled the height limiting in this game.
Awesome Mod! Saves so much time, while also negating the need for flume travel! Love it. Just a thought, you should add the ability to dismount in midair so you can freefall.
