If you want to go to the teacher's tower before the quest, e.g. to get everything there, you can also simply go in via the clock tower. You come up to the spot where the duel club is
I was being stupid, this mod skipped the whole mini game sequence and redirects you to the quests instead of waiting around fumbling the alohomora lock. Plain and simple, straight to the point. This is a lifesaver.
So I installed it and everything, yet nothing changed. Still stuck, can go in, got the demiguise statues and everything, still stuck with the "unlock the door" task. Any way to fix this?
It worked for me the first time I tried it. I'm not computer savvy so I'll try to explain as best as I can. I'm surprised I was actually able to do it myself.
First I made a new folder on my desktop and took all the mod files from the below folder(see below) and put them in the new folder I made on my desktop: Steam>steamapps>common>Hogwarts Legacy>Phoenix>Content>Paks>~mods Once all those files from the ~mods folder were moved to a new folder on my desktop I downloaded this fixer mod(note I did not deactivate/uninstall/disable the mods in Vortex) I extracted the .pak file for this fixer mod (zz_AlohomoraFix_P.pak) and then put it in the folder: Steam>steamapps>common>Hogwarts Legacy>Phoenix>Content>Paks>~mods This .pak file is the only file in the folder. Actually the only file of any kind in that folder. I then launched the game, and the lock was gone from the Faculty door, per usual, and in the top left of the screen it gave me the prompt to interact with the door to use the Alohomora spell, BUT the quest waypoint was not the Faculty door, but instead the two statues you need to get for the quest. So I got the two statues and returned to the Mr. Moon guy. And the quest was completed. HOWEVER the prompt to approach the door and use the Alohomora spell was still in the upper left of my screen. I then saved the game, and quit the game. Removed the .pak file for this mod from the folder: Steam>steamapps>common>Hogwarts Legacy>Phoenix>Content>Paks>~mods Then I put all of my mod files back into that same folder where they belong. Then I started the game back up and the prompt was gone from the top left of the screen. I'm actually pretty surprised that I was able to do this because doing computer stuff is like trying to decipher alien language to me. I haven't done the Mooncalf thing yet, hopefully it is just as easy to do, but I don't think I've actually removed that lock yet anyway.
I followed this and it worked. I moved all the mods and put the one mod in there. The quest immediately jumped to getting the monkies and did not have any vestigial notices left over after I put the mods back.
I'm not very tech-y either, but this was exactly what I needed to do as well. Thanks for the explanation! Now to figure out which mod is preventing others from working...🤔🤔
I used this and after some trial and error I got it to work, but I am still getting the "Approach and interact with a lock" prompt every time I reload a save. Fast traveling does get it to disappear but it's still annoying. Could you maybe try to come up with a patch for this, please?

Now go in game see you skipped the quest make sure you finish it, save, uninstall the mod and you done.
That's worded a bit strange, and I'm not sure what to actually do. I unlocked the faculty wing before the quest and can't progress. Can someone give a more detailed explanation? I really don't want to have restart
