not sure if bug or not but after extracting the mod into the appropriate folder and everything, it keeps crashing my game at the loading screens right after i select my character. i had to remove the mod in order to get the game running. i would love to know a fix or workaround with this or know why this is happening. thank you!
there may be a conflict with another mod that uses the same Chunk ID. Every mod gets assigned one, but because we just type these out randomly, so there's a chance that this mod might have the same ID as another you currently have installed.
How do I get the mod to work, I downloaded the zip file and added it to vortex from the app but when I start the game it doesn't show up. Edit: Nevermind, I don't know what I just did but it works now.
"But a glock is not lore-friendly" I mean yes, that's a bit of an understatement tho. If you would like more period accurate handguns I know AC Syndicate has a few rare ones.
Any chance you can take a shot (heh) at implementing a corresponding sound effect for it too? I haven't checked since it was first uploaded but the other gun sound mod both sounds rather pitiful and overlaps with the pre-existing wand sound which is just no bueno on all counts. Sweet gun though, hopefully you figure out the Lumos issue quickly!
Edit: Took a gander at the gun sound mod and they did improve it and released a version without the overlapping vanilla wand sound, so I decided to download that along with this. Unfortunately the sound mod works but I'm not seeing my wand model change to the Colt. Not sure if it's a matter of incompatibility or if maybe I did something wrong even though I just extracted it into my mod directory with all the other mods.
Edit 2: Figured out what I was doing wrong. I didn't know that I had to unequip wand modifications. Figured it'd just be overwritten by the gun no matter what.
Also the sound mod was updated further to provide a sound specifically for this mod, however it's honestly not very good. If you or anyone who reads this can provide a specific suggestion (such as a YouTube link) to the creator of the gun sound mod and drop it either as a reply in the chain where I'm currently talking to him about it or at all, that'd be cool.
I'm glad you were able to activate successfully!! 'm looking into replacing the sound of blast spells too. But as you've mentioned, i haven't found a nice punchy sound yet that isn't annoying to listen to for extended gameplay :) But i'll keep looking!
There's a few guns from Battlefield that might be valid contenders within the first 30 seconds. They're fired too quickly to use directly from this video, but you can at least get a taste of them and then look up whichever ones individually/specifically.
Thanks so much for this mod, I was hoping someone would make this after seeing the glock mod. There does seem to be a problem with the framerate tanking (like 5 fps) when using lumos, any idea why that is?
3060 here so it definitely isn't a hardware issue either. When playing again I noticed a red grid-like circle around the tip of the pistol when using lumos that looked like a positioning tool you'd see in blender or something
