¿Pueden hacerse unas instrucciones detalladas para los que no estamos relacionados con los términos de OBS? me gustaría retrasmitir con filtros HDR con su configuración pero me pierdo en las instrucciones.
I only have rec 2100 as hdr source and it has no "full" option.
I must not understand your instructions.
so here is what I understand:
I have in "Sources" Hogwarts Legacy and it detects when the game is turned on. Right click it and go to properties. In this Screen it has Mode/Window/WindowMatchPriority then at the bottom Hook Rate and RGB10A2 Color Space. Under Color Space only have sRGB and rec 2100.
Okay so beyond that. Go to Settings/Advanced/Video In color Space select rec709 color range Full
Right Click Sources "Hogwarts Legacy" go to Filters/ Apply LUT/ Select Cube File.
Is that correct? Also I guess I'm using rec2100 as source and rec709 as advanced option...
problem there is using rec2100 HL or PQ will result in twice the CPU usage which this LUT was built to prevent.
So using REC2100 totally defeats the purpose. Is not compatible. Will not result well.
1. HDR Capture card = Shrink #(Not Bypass and not Full, Shrink to create limited)
2. Video Source = Rec601 full #( half the CPU cost of rec2100)
3. OBS Studio Advanced = Rec709 nv12 full #(have to play with nits to find out what suits you)
4. Right click video source Select Filters Add Video filter "Apply LUT" Browse to my cube file.
5. Adjust the slider. Note: what you see in the preview is not what comes out on stream. OBS Preview is only the preview of the Rec601 with the LUT. That's not what is being broadcast.
What's actually being broadcast is a Video Layer with a colorspace of rec709 and on top of that layer we are putting another Video Layer with a colorspace of rec601 These colors blend together to create a final output. The LUT is designed to take the final output of what would appear at the end of the line for the viewers and color correct the colorspace from rec709 rec601 nv12 to something more along the lines of BT2020 or REC2100.
I do not understand what this is. Or what does it do? There are no installation instructions, just a file, no comparison images, and no clear explanation of the mod.
OBS Studio. Add HDR video source Set HDR video source properties rec601 full. Set advanced video options rec709 full. Add my cube LUT file as filter to the HDR video source. Broadcast fake BT2020 HDR in the nv12 rec709 colorspace.
copied the instructions from mod page under details area and pasted them here for you. sorry that they do not show up for you.
I understood that these were the mod's features, not the installation instructions. It doesn't mention the words "Download" or "Install", so I assumed that you did something using OBS Studio, and not that I am supposed to install OBS Studio and use it with this mod. The instructions could definitely be a lot clearer, and some before / after screenshots would help users judge if it's worth the effort.
Given my understanding of OBS Studio, this is used to improve the color space of recordings of the game, and not during gameplay itself.
Seems this mod creator is less inclined to explain his mod that he perhaps mistakenly labled as RESHADE, which it clearly isnt, and more inclined to come across as arrogant and condisending. For this mod to work you need to download the OBS Studio then run the the program with the changes as per the mod page in unison with the game. Waste of time and effort if you ask me, just stick to the proper Reshade options on nexus and you should be golden.
Edit: The vast lack of comparison screenshots, the poor description are all demotivators for people interrested in the mod.
Actually I made the tools that I used to make this mod with reshade and reshade shaders made by Crosire, Marty, and CeeJay.dk. so it's not mistakenly labeled and credit has been attributed accordingly. and I have updated instructions.
But I'd like to personally attend to the comments:
Given the intention is to +capture raw image video data +apply my lut to the downscaled capture +broadcast or record the captured video Using my LUT file as a video filter viewers of your stream would see HDR colors but the image quality in comparison to the original game Would be degraded. So showing you before and after. Obviously the original game is going to look better.
So the nexus users that misunderstand the use of my mod. Would think oh this is crappy reshade. when in fact it's not meant to change the existing game at all. Quite the contrary, it's meant to make recording and live broadcast of HDR video capture look like HDR video instead of bleached too dark too saturated etc on the final output video.
I figured. no need to post images. videos in the future maybe. images would just confuse people. So I was hoping writing would work. but I didn't use enough words. You are correct. I was very shorthand because I'm used to writing instructions for people that already know what I'm talking about or for myself.
Oh and the screenshot is not from the game. it's a snapshot of the output video being played back from local obs relay to Media Player Classic Home Cinema 2.0.
Not trying to win any award really do not care about being nice. Wrote enough information that the right people would understand. Shared my work because the information could help others like me.
Plenty of mods on nexus with less instructions. Work in progress.
