press F7 after you type Elder Wand into the Apparate Modloader, this should give you the Elder Wand cast and white protego. If your having issues with actually getting the Elder Wand. then its something to do with the setup of the files.
Well i would love to try this Elder Wand with OP damage but i cannot make it work. How did you manage to do that guys? I mean, i add the 3 files fo Elder Wand Cast file and Blueprint in my mods file. I press F8, write ElderWand but nothing.. what i have to do .Or do i have to use both the "accurate ElderWand" mod + the cometic mod? If someone could please help me out.
F7 does nothing and dungeons cannot be completed with the elder wand effect file, it cannot be toggled on and off. I just tried everything I could and no other spell will activate the switches, lost count on how many times I heard "I wonder if I could hit the rune with a spell"
First off, I love the cast model created for this wand. Very well done! However, I'm definitely seeing a 400% increase in damage that is 100% reproducible when I toggle the wand cast on/off via F7.
I haven't played around with any of the Talent Mods yet that allow you to remove points, but I'm somewhat certain this is possibly tied to the damage talent of Protego. I have no idea how the cast effect was created, but if it was modeled using that spell, it's possible the game is viewing the basic cast as a Protego spell that gets an increase as well.
I'm attaching a few screenshots showing the damage increase. This was from the same exact battle, same exact enemy with F7 pressed mid-fight.
I think its fair to say at this point that nothing is going to change with this mod. Hopefully someone else creates some more color's for the wands basic cast that does not impact the overall damage.
As an aside, I'm even more convinced that the game is registering the basic casts as protego, as any mod that affects Protego (such as the recent mod that changes its color) will not work with this mod enabled. But yea... it's just "cosmetic".... >.>
Alright I think I figured it out. The elder wand uses its very own basic cast spell that's used in the quest, which has crazy higher damage than the regular basic cast. I just made myself a SQL mod that changes the values to be the original damage modifiers. But now the issue is that the spell doesn't stack on 4 hits like the regular basic cast, so I had to edit the values to adjust for it. It essentially now works like Consistent Basic Cast with my fix. But it's better than doing an absurd amount of damage.
I'll put it up as a mod and just keep it up until the mod author possibly addresses this.
Thank you for making this amazing work! I really love the wand and the appearance mod worked perfectly, but for some reason the function elder wand mod is not working, when I pressed F8 and input the word "ElderWand" into the blueprint AP, it just won't add to the functional mod list below.
Do you have the mod "Spell Master" or similar installed? Its stupify uses the same spell that is cast when you use this mods elder wand feature and adds a cooldown among other changes. If you use mod merger you can simply remove/edit the lines with StupifyDH to fix this without having to uninstall Spell Master.

edit: I want to use it like the basic cast.
