As of version 0.10 the TOP of the mod list now has highest priority, not the bottom!

As of Version 0.14/0.15, you can create a merged mod for any of the 6 major versions of the game released over the past two years. Simply choose a game version in the Mod Merger to build against. You no longer need to use older versions of HMM to merge if you're on an older patch of the game. I will, however, not offer any help if you're on older versions!
    0.15:

    • Improved the Automatic Localization Mod Patcher - this is now as smart as the SQL Mod Patcher in version 0.14. (I forgot to implement this in the last version). This should also fix the silent crash when trying to merge mods with Localization file changes.

    • Updated to .NET 9
    • UI Tweaks and minor improvements. The modlist now scales with the window size so you can see all your mods, and the total number of database / localisation changes are shown in the tabs at the top.

    0.14:

    • Updated to support game patch 1326194 released on 30th Jan 2025
    • Improved the Automatic Mod Patcher - it now detects which version of the game the mod was created against, and extracts only the relevant SQL changes before combining those into the new merged file. This is much simpler, and much more elegant than the old way of patching outdated mods.
    • Outdated mods will now be automatically patched instead of relying on manually clicking the "!" icon.
    • Added a Game Version Selector - you can now choose which build of Hogwarts Legacy to create a merged mod for. For example if you're using HL Version 1218405, you can build the merged mod to be compatible for that version instead. This technically allows you to "downgrade" merged mods as well, taking newer mods and backpatching them for older versions of the game.

    0.13:

    • Updated to support game patch 1218405 released on 5th June 2024
    • NOTE: The automatic patcher isn't as good due to cumulative changes in the database between game versions. The best action is to ask the mod creators to update their mod, but the patcher should still mostly work fine. It may retain some entries (notably there seems to be a "MissionDefinition" or "MissionSteps" table entry that sneaks through) that needs to be manually deleted (or ignored, up to you. See if it works). Alternatively, you can merge your old mods with version 0.12.1 first, then import that merged file into version 0.13 to cleanly patch it.
    0.12.1:

    • Updated to support game patch 1145908 released on 2nd June 2023
    • NOTE: The automatic patcher isn't as good due to cumulative changes in the database between game versions. The best action is to ask the mod  creators to update their mod, but the patcher should still mostly work fine. It may retain some entries (notably there seems to be a  "MissionDefinition" or "MissionSteps" table entry that sneaks through)  that needs to be manually deleted (or ignored, up to you. See if it
works). Alternatively, you can merge your old mods with version 0.11.1 first, then import that merged file into version 0.12+ to cleanly patch it.
0.11.1 (Last version supporting mods for Game version 1126182):

    • You can now import raw PhoenixShipData.sqlite files as "mods". This allows you to edit your own
database files using e.g. DBBrowser or SQLStudio and then merge them with other mods without having to pack it first. If you want to get your hands on a raw PhoenixShipData.sqlite file to tinker with, simple run the merger, then - before clicking anything else - navigate to \build\Phoenix\Content\SQLiteDB\ in the program's folder and copy the file from there :)
    • Fixed bugged colour in dark mode
    0.11:

    • Massive improvement to speed of merging mods. Up to 150x faster than the old method
    • You can now drag-and-drop mod files to add them instead of using the add button
    • You can now add your own SQL into any mod by right-clicking in the database table and clicking "Insert New". A better interface with
dropdown menus to choose tables/rows/columns is coming soon.
    0.10:

    • Added mods can now be prioritised or deleted by right-clicking on them in the left list (Or using the keyboard shortcuts)
    • The TOP of the list is now the highest priority
    • Can now change the output mod name (changes are preserved in Settings.json)
    • Can save directly to any custom output folder, including directly to Hogwarts Legacy ~mods folder
    • Added keyboard shortcuts and some UX improvements.
    0.9:

    • Can now semi-intelligently patch out-of-date mods with one click rather than waiting for mod authors to update them
(obviously a proper update is still better)
    • Re-enabled DELETE commands - fixes issues merging NPC Schedule Mod
    • UI tweaks

0.15 and 0.151 doesn't work for me. 0.14 is fine so anything special requirement something .NET9?

Could I request that you make the last version (0.13) before the January update available to download for those of us who have downgraded to game build 1235957, please?

You don't need to use an old version. The latest version of HMM now allows you to specify what version of the game you are running and it will create a zMergedMods.pak file in the correct format for that version of the game.

Oh, wow, that's brilliant. I was actually asking on behalf of someone else, but I'll pass it along and update my own version of the mod. Cheers!

i have at least a dozen diffrent mods all only in the .pak format. i add all the mods, select the oldest verson avaiable, and do the merger. no errors, merges them. yet it does not work. it is because if something on your end not mine. also it used t work. that was beacuse of the oldest mod merger avaiable in the downloads archive area as a direct download. can you please quickly bring it back like it used to be, the oldest mod merger in the archive area to download as a direct download? when i try to download it now as it it, it gives me an access denyied, hidden thingy. again something on your end not mine.

I'm playing Hogwarts Legacy on PS4 right now, but I'm thinking about buying and downloading the game on Epic or streaming it. I have an HP laptop, and I’d prefer to play using a controller instead of the keyboard. Also, would mods work on the PC version? I know I’d have to start over, but I’m just trying to figure out the best option.

      1. This is not the place for this
      2. the PC version has official mods as of Jan 30th, just start with those in the In-Game menu. If you want to see what is available go Here
      3. I can't tell you if your controller will work with your laptop, next time only comment here if it's relevant to the listing in Nexus. What does this have to do with the mod merger??? I digress :/
