IIRC you can only collect them after 11pm. But the game doesn't tell you what the time is, so install UICore and the Animated Game Time HUD. That will tell you the time. Once the time reaches 11pm the demiguise will light up and a prompt should appear to allow you to collect it.
I tried that actually, but I was unable to find anything in the game to indicate which ones had already been opened. Without that the mod would just keep sending you to key cabinets that you'd already completed. Fortunately there are only 16 of them (IIRC) and they show up as the largest glowing item when you cast revelio so I figured we could manage without it.
Yes I am using the version 1.1 Game randomly freezes and then crashes out of nowhere. P.S All mods I use are yours. FieldGuide Finder, Demisguise Finder, Skip Alohomora and obviously Blueprint modloader
Edit: Game still crashes without this mod although it takes much longer time for it to crash now. I dont know anymore
Thanks for using so many of my mods! πBlueprint Apparate Modloader isn't one of mine but the others are. I'm pretty sure that the crashes you're suffering are caused by a game bug (in memory management). Set the Resource Monitor running before you start Hogwarts Legacy then play the game as normal. As soon as the game starts to respond poorly hit ALT-TAB and select the Resource Monitor. If you're fast enough you'll see the dark blue "Standby" bar (which is the total "Committed Memory") grow rapidly until it maxes-out your available memory. At that point the game will freeze completely and crash. That's the memory bug. Unfortunately there is no known fix for it.
Could it be because of the max settings? I recently upgraded my pc for ultra gaming and since then it started crashing with these mods ( after I set game settings to all max) also how is game able to max out memory is there no limit ? I have 64gb of ram so for it to max it all out its crazy
Hard to say. There's no obvious pattern to when the crashes happen, so it's hard to know what's causing it. Loading textures is the most obvious suspect, and those would take up more memory at the higher settings, but eating-up 64GB of RAM (or even 32GB) is obviously not what the game devs intended. When it happens it happens really fast. Like within 2 seconds. So whatever the bug is, it quickly spirals out of control. If we had any clues about what was going on we could maybe fix it via Engine settings, but we don't. This is a problem that only the game devs can fix.
I see. Thank you for explaining and trying to help. Also thank you for all the mods you made even if I dont use them all, they are still really helpful to some. Goodluck with future stuff π
The mod is still working (I used it myself just yesterday) so something must have gone wrong with your installation. If you play the game again and can't get the mod working next time either, let me know and I'll help you to figure out what's going wrong.
Couldn't get it to work eventhough I did everything correctly and then I randomly decided to type in "MyDemiGuiseFinder" with a capitilized G for step 8, and that did the trick. Just a heads up incase anyone stumbled upon the same thing.
Is it my game thats behaving weird or can I not use the mod when im on a broom or look where its taking me on the big map? I dont want to have to run everywhere. Otherwise this mod is genius!
Yeah for some reason the game choses to remove the path when you mount a broom. It's stupid but I couldn't find a way around it. This is mentioned in the mod's Description under "Known Issues". Have a look there for a couple of suggested work-arounds.
very useful, though one issue, it doesnt take account of locks blocking the way, your tryign to find moons to get better lock picking, but sometimes it points to one behidn a lock you cant open yet.
@MadeUpName92: That dead end is a bug in the game, presumably caused by the fact that the demiguise is one floor below that point but behind a locked door. If you go down the stairs, you'll see a Level II locked door. If you can unlock it you'll find the demiguise inside.

Please update to version 1.1!
The previous version contained a bug which caused the game to crash in some circumstances.

That spot is famliar, I remember sometimes seeing a chest behind that wall when using Revilio but never knowing how to get to it.
Since I'm here, grabbing the update.
such a cool and well done mod, really appreciate
I did too! The last three demiguises completely eluded me... until I ran this mod and nailed them within a few minutes. π
