Hi there :) ! Nice mod to get rid of the repetitive music after 100h lol. May i suggest a version that packs multiple tracks ? I think this should be possible if you join all tracks into one ?
Thank you, this would allow less repetitiveness =) !
The game itself simply repeats one track that's exactly 3:47 long in a loop. There's no 'playlist' system to speak of, so it would probably require quite a bit of coding to make one. I wouldn't know where to start.
Other than that it's a fine idea, that I might look into.
maybe make the loop longer (multiple songs) and let it start at a random position?
edit: I have an idea. have a counter somewhere (settings or something) and each time the mod gets loaded, switch to a different song. so you might have the same song on the same playing session, but each time you start up the game a different one gets loaded.
Is there any way that you can do this with the original Bridgerton theme for a quartet? I love the Paint it Black one. Kudos to you for making this mod!
The process is not as straightforward as one might think.
The game specifically requires .wem audio format files, which can only be created using a dedicated audio software called Wwise. So, to begin, you would need to edit your .mp3 file and convert it to the .wav format, since it is the only file format compatible with Wwise. Then, using the Wwise software, you need to import your .wav file and convert it into a .wem file.
Next, you need to identify the specific names of the in-game files you wish to replace and determine their respective folder paths. With this information, you can properly package your .wem files into a .pak format archive using Unreal Engine tools.
Finally, you can place the resulting .pak file into the Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods folder, and it should work in-game (unless there were errors in your file pathing, naming etc.)
Sorry, I know this explanation is a mess. It can be challenging to figure out the process, it certainly took me a while. But once you have the 'know-how' it takes about 10 minutes or so to make the .pak files.
If you're taking requests, could you put the "Paint It Black" cover from "Wednesday" in and maybe literally anything from the band Apocalyptica as well? Great mod, btw.
It's not exactly the version from Wednesday show, because the shows tune has finger snaps, wind instruments and other bits in it, that simply wouldn't make sense for a string quartet. Hope that's alright. Enjoy!
If I may suggest, Nicholas Yee has an incredible cello/string cover of said song, which, imho, sounds much better! It's called "Paint it Black (Wednesday Addams/Westworld) Cello cover" :)
I've added a second version by Nicholas Yee for the song.
It loops a bit strangely when played for the second time due to the length of the piece being below 3:47. It's still fine and continues playing, just restarts the song. I've made that reset somewhat smooth. Hope that's alright. Enjoy!
Is there anyway you could make it so that it plays different songs when you enter the tower? The one song on loop was driving me crazy and I think it would be way more natural if there was some way you could make it play different songs each time you entered from like a bank of them rather than just one all the time. Just a thought, either way thanks for the beautiful song additions :)
I can't get it to work. :( I tried to drop the Bridgerton one in my older, but they orchestra is still playing the OG stuff. Do you need to remove the OG file first?
I love this idear! I cant wait to try it in game and hear how it sounds. if you take requests or suggestions I wondered if you could make a version with other music? my mind falls to bridgeton versions of pop musics :o
Sure, I could make more versions of the mod, with other songs if there's enough interest.
However, there are limitations as the in-game music loops only one song. You can't make it play several songs in a playlist like manner + the song can't be longer than 3:47. I'm by no means good at editing audio to shorten songs, but I could give it a shot.
Yaaas! The strings version of SZA's "Nobody Gets Me" has had a chokehold on me ever since Queen Charlotte came out and I literally sit here listening to it all day long while playing. The idea of it being played in game....
I updated the mod page to include the Nobody Gets Me - SZA Cover from Netflix's Queen Charlotte Series. You can now download a file specific for the requested track. Enjoy!

If you are still taking requests I would like to see the "Can Can" by Offenbach.
Bye :)

Now, I saw that there are cello and piano versions of Cantina Band...
While it's not a request on my part, it would be funny if one such cover found its way in here... >;3

The 'Secrets' melody file has to be removed from the ~mods folder, then place the new file in.
Also:
Thanks for bringing my attention to the song, it's a wonderful piece.
I cant wait to try it in game and hear how it sounds.
