Sure. Let me know if this works because I can't test it right now. Click the link below, download the zip file, uncompress it, put the three files inside into your ~mods folder, then run the game, press F8 to open the modloader, type OpenBuggedCages and hit Enter. Then, when you encounter a bugged cage (with a creature inside but no lock) press ALT-o (that's the letter "o" for "open") to open it.
Hello, I was tired of not being able to release the beasts from cages without locks. So your mod is a blessing and thank you for your work! Unfortunately I can't get it to work. I've been trying to find the solution for three hours but I can't figure it out. You offer to help in case of any troubles. Would you please help me understand what I'm doing wrong in installing the mod please?
I followed your instructions correctly : 1. Install UE4SS in "Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64" 2. Install OpenAllCages folder inside it to Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\Mods"
I'm sorry but I can't find this UE4SS log file in Win64. Is it the changelog file?
Okay so the UE4SS.log file is the one called UE4SS in your Win64 folder. Your PC must be set up to hide known file extensions (like .log). Open that file in Notepad (or something similar) then cut & paste any error messages into your reply.
I didn't find any error messages from that file. The only line mentioning an error is this one (it won't help you much in understanding the problem I think) :
Another detail in that file to report (I don't know if it's important or related to the issue) :
[2024-01-10 12:57:25] AOB scans could not be completed because of the following reasons: Was unable to find AOB for 'Unreal Engine Version'. Could not determine Unreal Engine version: 'Branch' member variable FString data was nullptr You need to override the engine version in 'UE4SS-settings.ini.

UPDATE : I just have launched the game to try to understand again and I also changed the binding (well like I did on monday, nothing new). For Merlinโs sake it workeeed! IT WORKED!! I can finally release the creatures from their cage. I'm sorry for having wasted your time and, most importantly, for having taken up your time with my issue!
Hello, the same bug appeared in the side door and attic of the headmaster`s office. The lock does not spawn. Can you make a patch like this mod? Thank lot.
Sure, I could take a look. But I can't reproduce that problem. Could you:
1) Upload a relevant save file to mega.nz (or similar file-sharing website). 2) Use the envelope icon in the top right of this web page to send me a msg with a link to that save file.
This mod saved a mission for me. I had unlocked a cage before a mission, and several hours later I got a mission to unlock that cage, but the lock didn't respawn. Great mod to keep in mind
This mod save me, there's two treasure vault that the dice is lock in a cage and the cage is missing the lock. I think it's a bug, I open it then left it to finish other task, then later on, when I came back, the lock is missing and I can't open the cage anymore, the dice is stuck inside. Thank you for this mod.
So were you able to complete the quest? I was going to mention those dice in the mod's Description but I wasn't sure that freeing them would actually allow you to complete the quest, so I decided not to mention it...
