After installing this mod aswell as the funtional elder wand mod... I noticed it's saying im doing 1 damage for a few shots, then it goes up to like 25 ish and then sometimes 75... (For the crit)
Personal opinion: Just double the damage from the default or increase it by some % or something...
I'm trying to understand the purpose of this mod. I use the Functional Elder Wand mod, but it's basically just a cosmetic change, so my cast damage is exactly the same as vanilla. So I'm not sure why this mod is needed unless it's designed to nerf "all" of basic cast damage with or without that mod.
The "Elder Wand Cast" blueprint is not a cosmetic change. The wand replacer is, but using the Cast blueprint comes with certain boosts that come with the Niamh Fitzgerald's Trial, like increased cast damage.
Ahh, I see.. I think I understand now. So using this mod with the Elder Wand Cast blueprint and elder wand active will negate the boost that comes with it and reduce the basic cast damage. So isn't it basically the same thing as just using the replacer without the blueprint?
Nahh, using Elder Wand Cast gives you a cool basic cast and protego effect. A few comments on the page were mentioning a damage boost to basic cast, though. So I basically made this for people who are using the Cast blueprint and want the visual effects of the Elder Wand Cast but didn’t want to become OP.
Understood, thanks for clarifying. Yeah, I never really bothered with the elder wand cast as it requires some extra steps to do with the tool. So all I wanted was the cosmetic replacement. That's why I got a little bit confused at first. But thanks for clarifying.
